Are the piece on the inside hard plastic or flexible

Most of each headband is hard plastic but the ends, about an inch or so, are flexible rubber. You can shape them to fit your head so that they're perfect for you and super comfortable. Some headbands are too tight and give me headaches but not these. They are fabulous.

Do these have rubber underneath the whole band?

The rubber on the headband is only on the tips but has small teeth around the inside were it sits on your hair to keep it in place. The rubber part can flex or bend so it fits the way you want it. I love this product and give it the 5 star.

Does it bend at the ears

Yes, the top part is hard plastic and the part close to the ears is a metal covered in a silicone/rubber. It is pretty seamless. Very comfortable.
