Amazing! My boyfriend loved it for planting bulbs

I recently tried the Bulb Planter, and I'm really impressed with how handy and easy it is to use! The tool feels sturdy and doesn’t bend when planting bulbs, which is a huge plus for me. I especially love the automatic soil release feature—it makes digging and filling the hole a breeze. The depth marker is another great touch, helping me plant at the right depth every time, making the process faster and more efficient. On top of all that, the price is fantastic, and I think anyone, whether experienced or a beginner gardener, can easily use it. Highly recommend!

I bought the Edward Tools Bulb Planter to make planting bulbs easier, and overall, it does the job well. It is simple to use and saves me from having to bend down as much, which makes a big difference when planting several bulbs at once. The depth marker is helpful. It makes it easier to keep the holes more consistent, especially for tulips, daffodils, dahlias, and other bulbs that need to be planted at the right depth. I garden in zone 8a with fairly dense clay soil, and the planter still cuts through the ground better than I expected. The tool feels practical and makes the job cleaner than digging each hole by hand. After repeated use, it still feels sturdy and durable. The only issue I have is with the automatic soil release mechanism. It is stiff. I expected it to release the soil quickly with one hand, but I usually have to use both hands to make it work. That slows things down a bit, especially when I am trying to plant several bulbs in a row. Even with that issue, I still like the tool. It is easy to use, useful, and better than bending over with a hand trowel the whole time. I took off one star because the release mechanism could be smoother. Overall, this is a handy bulb planter that makes planting easier, but the soil release feature needs some improvement.

Nice and heavy

I purchased daffodil bulbs to plant and a friend told me to get this. THANK GOODNESS! I can’t imagine how much more time and effort it would have taken without it! Works great and made it so easy. I’m gonna have to get her a better bday gift this year😆

Worked well for planting daffodil bulbs in a flower bed. Planted 25 of them with no issues. If you have really hard soil, this is not the tool you are looking for though, it would bend.

There are ZERO likes! Plenty of dislikes. I used it for the first time in a 25 year old vegetable area. That has well amended soil. The soil was neither hard or mushy wet that day. I was making holes for tomato plants. After the 4th hole. I pressed the soil release button on side of handle. It would not open. There was no soil clogging handle in or around screws. From then on out, I had to shake and hand remove soil. Hole #11, the handle bent over. As seen in picture. I bent it back to original position as best as possible. Just a week later, I went to make more holes, for tomato plants again. We had had a moderate rainstorm 2 days prior. The soil was semi dry, first 2-3 inches, then moderately moist, but not mushy muddy. I was only making holes 3-4 inches deep at most. As these were young plants. No more then 4 inches tall with roots. The handle bent over again, just as you see it now. I thought the idea of a soil release tool was wonderful! NOT! I had also purchased a similar bulb tool for my Dad. But the one I bought him was like our older, American made tools from yesterday years. It was made by Edeweilla, I believe. I should’ve just bought myself the same kind as his. I WOULD NOT recommend this tool to anyone. I just want a replacement like the other I had bought for my dad. Or a refund for this one.

Hard to work with on clay predominant soils - even with adequate moisture. Ended up having to use a shovel. May do fine in already worked and amended beds.

Previously bought 2 of these items..both bent after 1st use this product seems to do the job...happy

Does the job!

I bought it for my flower beds. Have one variety growing into another with some dead spots. Can easily take a plug from one area and insert it somewhere else.

The device works well on soft soil but on harder soil the arms become locked in the handle necessitating bending the arms slightly to unlock and remove section of soil from the device.

Buy cheap, buy twice. Far too flimsy and the plastic handle with a super sharp metal section means it broke the plastic in the first time using!
