Functional, nice large size, sharp and quick to use grater - very well made and I LOVE the rubber base which grips the surface you set it on to grate - no slipping when grating. So well made - You will love it!

I wanted something that was simple and easy to take out of my cupboard and grate a small amount of items rather than take out my 14 cup Cuisinart. A small amount of cheese or vegetable something simple. Please don't get me wrong, I love my Cuisinart, but it's definitely a mess to clean up. I tried this grater for the first time, and it is definitely sturdy and does a great job of grating. The bottom rubber base is removable for cleaning. After grating some sharp cheddar cheese, (which is usually really hard to clean up out of a grater afterwards) I just rinsed it under hot water under the kitchen tap and it cleaned up beautifully. My Cuisinart definitely would not have cleaned up this easily. So if you're looking for something quick and simple to grate food items, I would recommend this grater. The only thing I don't know about at this point because it's brand new is how long it will last. But that's yet to be determined.

This replaced my 25-year old cheese grater and wow, I had no idea how dull my old grater was! This new grater is easy to hold, has sharp blades, which makes for easy work, a large enough interior for easy washing and comes in many fun colors. Great quality and value. Would make a nice gift.

Sharp enough to easily shred cheese, large enough for bigger jobs. Grated food stays inside “box”. Easy to clean in dishwasher. Slicer isn’t sharp enough, so it’s kind of useless. Zester side similar— just get a Microplane for zesting. If the slicer had worked on potatoes, this would have been 5 stars. Definitely worth the price!

This 6" L x 5" W x 9.2" H, stainless steel grater has four different grating sides with a silicone handle and ring around the bottom. It is well-made and easy to grip while shredding/slicing cheese, fruits, vegetables, and spices. You will find yourself reaching for this grater more often than not. Your old grater doesn’t stand a chance when compared to this new one. I don’t know why I waited so long to replace my old, worn-out grater. I prefer the larger size. In all honesty, it’s not that much larger than the one I replaced. This one has a well-designed handle and the silicone ring around the base helps to keep the grater in one place while utilizing it. There are four different options to use: 1) slicer, 2) fine shred/zest, 3) medium shred, and 4) coarse shred. Each side has its own individual uses. Don’t limit your imagination either! This grater is convenient with more than just cheese! Super easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. I do tend to place my grater upside down in the dish drying rack so that water doesn’t get stuck in the bottom. I genuinely love this grater. I was tired of buying shredded cheese at twice the cost. I can easily shred potatoes for potato pancakes or use the slicer for fried potatoes. I can grate nutmeg, zest citrus, or simply shred various types of cheeses with this grater. I think it’s great and an essential tool for every kitchen. I highly recommend it.

Update: I bought two of these and was very happy with the first one, which I gave to a friend and ordered another. Then I was disappointed the same item was smaller. But, I contacted Spring Chef and they sent me a new one of the older design. They are trying to please those who complained the original model was too large. I looked at reviews and sure enough some people gave one star saying it was too large. COMEON people! The title says PROFESSIONAL and XL. Which is what I wanted in the first place and which Spring Chef totally came through with. THANK YOU to Spring Chef for fixing this issue for me. I AM VERY VERY HAPPY!! AND...on top of sending me the wonderful sturdy grater, they refuned my money too. I would have been completely happy with just the replacement grater. Significantly diminished in quality and stability compared to the supposedly same one I purchased three years ago. This "same model" is much lighter, between 1/4 and 1/2 inch less deep and less stable. 1/2 inch doesn't sound like much, but it is a significant percentage of the depth of the grater and that also contributes to a loss of stability. I bought one three years ago and was very happy with it. I gave it to a friend because I thought I could just buy another one. Unfortunately for me, the quality has gone way down hill. This is glaring to me because I had the previous one for comparison. Not nearly worth as much, not as useful, but almost the same price. I just checked that, and this one was 50 cents cheaper, but much lower in quality.

Not buy, everything but professional. Slicer not usable as the blade of the slicer is not strong enough and fold under the pressure. It took me 40 minutes to slice a cucumber! After two slices, I had to straighten the blade each time

Looks great and works well. I purchased this to replace a larger heater and this one is so much easier to use! I have painful arthritis in my hands and wrists and I can easily use this grater. Washes well in the fishers too thank goodness. Paid extra for the pink one and I love it!! Matches all my other baby punk kitchen things. I highly recommend.

The product is not at all what's on the picture neither what was described. There is no rubber base or any black plastic or rubber anywhere on the product. It's just the normal metal shredder and nothing else. It's a lie to sell something cheap for more money. Shame on the seller. Shame on Amazon to allow this
