Egglite With Three Way Adapter 10 Watt

I bought a two pack of these lights from my local pond supply shop. They are advertised as being great for in or out of water. They are very neat lights and the colored lenses provide very rich color changes. The only problem is that they are absolutely horrible for in-water use. As the bulb and housing heat up, it will actually cause the glass lens to pop out of place allowing water to enter the housing and submerge the bulb and electrical contacts. This caused numerous burned out bulbs and also fried my transformer completely on more than one occasion, which then had to be replaced. Not to mention I would then have to fish the lenses and color filters out from the bottom of my pond. So like I said, neat lights...as long as you actually never put them in water.

have a fountain on my front porch...I have purchased several of these egg lights and have never been disappointed. You can direct the light to any direction you want and it's just enough brightness to add ambiance to the fountain (I use mind on the outside of fountain pointed toward the water fall and basin surrounded by plants. A beautiful setting for people approaching my front door.

The egg light is a wonderful invention for my business in fountains. It is absolutely perfect for threading the wire through a copper tubing and making a "shepard's staff" light fixture that provides down light for bubbler fountains.

found the lights to last long and work fine with no problems, buying some more to add to pond

I've had these lights for 3 years now with no problems. One is submerged and 2 are on the edge pointing up at the waterfalls. I have them on a timer so they come on automatically at dusk. The bulbs seem to be very long-lasting. The submerged light works just fine with no maintenance whatsoever. I am very pleased with these lights!
