Pure Pastures Timothy Hay

It's amazing how much hay this bag actually has. It expands so much as you pull hay out to feed your bun, My bun loves it and I was so surprised how long it actually is lasting us. I also love that its cut into smaller strands. Not so small that it goes everywhere, but much easier to manage then the long strands from any other brand. When you pull out a chunk it you it doesn't pull half the bag out with it because everything is tangled together. It helps you grab the exact portion that you want - so much easier to manage! and less wasteful too. Conclusion: My bun (and I) am obsessed with this hay! We have tried a bunch of different brands but she was never super interested in eating timothy hay over her other treats and veggies... until now! This stuff smells so good and fresh when you open the bag you can tell its high quality hay. Delivery was super fast too, and overall great for bunparents as the size, and hay length is way easier to store and manage. Will definitely be our go-to timothy hay brand from now on!

I'm pleasantly surprised with how fresh Pure Pasture and Co’s timothy hay is! I gave this hay to my bunny, Luna, after enduring a GI issue that lasted several weeks, and she absolutely loves it. The hay smells fresh and has a rich green color. Unlike other hay brands we've tried, this hay in particular has much less dried out, brown pieces of hay. They are also good-sized hay strands (about the size of your hand) and is conveniently layered so it's easier to replenish and creates less of a mess when we switch out Luna's hay. Luna loves this hay and she won't stop asking for more! 10/10 I would definitely recommend this hay for your buns!

My bunnies, Peter and Jinx love it. Plain and simple. It’s very important to me that my bunnies have the best diet to keep them healthy. Hay is the most important food in their diet, it makes up at least 80% of what they eat on a daily basis. And when I’m ordering Pure Pasture Co Timothy Hay I know I’m getting the best quality hay. It’s super convenient to order on here and it’s a peace of mind knowing my bunnies will enjoy this hay to keep them nice and healthy. There’s a small detail about Pure Pasture Co that really makes them stand out to me, but makes a world of difference - how easy it is to get hay out of the bag. Typically with other brands it’s very easy to get hay splinters and to get scratches. It takes so much more time to put out the hay when it’s intertwined. With pure pasture the hay is stacked nicely and makes it so easy to control how much you want to give your buns. An added bonus with the convenience of retrieving hay is that it makes it super easy to make a forage box and incorporate little treats for a fun activity for your buns.

My bunny is very picky about hay. We have tried a variety of hay brands and this one is tops so far. Always looks green and smells fresh. Great price. More in the bag than you realize. I like how it is chopped and packaged so the “bricks” are more manageable and cleaner to get out of the bag. The only thing that I have not liked is the bottom of the bag tends to be broken up into “dust” a lot, but I just use that to make homemade treats.

We absolutely LOVE Pure Pastures Co timothy hay! As of late a lot of the hays on the market have been coming with worse quality than we except out of these brands. Pure Pastures Co gave us a hay that the bunnies absolutely love! The hay is sweet and soft, very green versus the browning we've been seeing with other brands, and cut in smaller chunks that are perfect for consumption. With Pure Pastures Co my bunnies haven't wasted hay and have ate most of it! We can't wait to order more soon!

My bunnies really loved this hay! As soon as I grabbed the bag out of the Amazon box my bunnies ran over and started going crazy for the hay! I really love how nicely cut and organized the hay is inside the bag! I used to always get splinters when trying to grab hay out of other brand’s hay bags. Because this hay is so nicely organized I didn’t get any splinters! Another thing I enjoyed is that there wasn’t a lot of dust in the bag. I get allergies from Timothy hay but because of the low dust I didn’t sneeze while handling the hay.

I ordered this hay for my bunny Mavis. She can be incredibly picky when it comes to what hay she likes and doesn't like. The first thing I noticed when it arrived, was that there was a lot more hay in this package than I originally thought! The second thing I noticed was how fresh it smelled. I gave my bunny some of this hay and she *immediately* loved it! I highly recommend this for anyone out there with bunnies who are picky hay eaters!

I’ve tried a lot of different hays and I was really excited to give this one a try for my rabbits, although it wasn’t very dusty, there is a lot of brown which is disappointing. I read the reviews before ordering and it didn’t seem as though it would have this issue. I’m not sure if it’s just a bag I got but it is also very dry. There is a bread tie that holds the bag shut that says the month June 2023; its October now. i’m not sure if this was when it was packed or if this is when it expires but either way it’s a little concerning how much brown there is and how dry and brittle the hay is. I don’t feel comfortable giving a five star, but it doesn’t deserve anything less than a two/three. I don’t think I would order again. My rabbits do not like it either sadly.

I have two 5-month old Holland Lops and decided to try this hay recently. The hay is so fresh, green and smells amazing. It’s not too hard or too soft, and the taste made it easy to transition my buns from alfalfa hay to timothy hay. The packaging also makes it really easy to grab hay. Usually, when I pull hay from a bag, I get so many splinters but with this hay, the hay is packed into easy-to-grab bundled layers so you can grab a lot without worrying about hurting yourself. I also love that the hay is grown by a small, family-owned business that has specialized in growing Timothy hay for over 30 years. They’re based in Canada – As a Canadian, supporting local businesses means a lot to me. And of course, the packaging is minimum waste and easy to store which is another winning point for me.

This is premium quality timothy hay from a local business! Fast shipping within Canada: received in 4 days with free shipping. It smells fragrant, and is a nice shade of green. It is perfectly dried to prevent mold and pests. My bunny loves it! The best part is that it is cut to the perfect length - it is easy for my rabbit to grab individual pieces without making the biggest mess.

I like how easy it is to grab the hay out of the bag because they pre-cut the hay so well. But I noticed a lot of dust left in the bag.

My bunnies absolutely love this Timothy hay! It's so fresh and green!! The hay are in portioned loafs which makes it super easy to take out of the bag and not messy to handle. Overall very good quality hay from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 Thank you Pure Pastures for being the best!! -Smokey & Pebbles

We love how this hay looks, smells, feels and is packaged. And of course the buns love how it tastes too. My buns are normally not interested in Timothy Hay, as they normally eat Orchard Grass, but with this brand, they definitely have been putting a dent into the bag. I've been mixing both hays together and it's worked out well. The packaging is so ergonomically correct. Makes it so much easier to draw the hay from the bag without making a mess. Also, another bonus is that it's hay-dust free, so no more sneezing! Every strand of hay is so green and lots of flower heads too! I highly recommend anyone with bunnies, guinea pigs, or hamsters try this hay. You will not be disappointed! Last but not least, I love how it's from a family-run farm in Alberta!
