MusicNomad Grip Guitar String Peg Winder, Non-Scratch, Dual Bearing (MN221)

The best string winder I've ever owned, by far! It's everything they say it is. It makes the cheaper, hard plastic winders look like junk. I wish I would have purchased this a long time ago...better late than never!! With the 2 bearings, it turns extremely smooth. The handle is very comfortable on my hand. The soft plastic/rubber that goes over the key tuners, protects from scratching them. It's very fast & smooth...& I prefer this over powered winders any day. I changed my strings a few days ago...& it worked great! I accidentally dropped it (my fault), onto the hard floor & it didn't harm it at all. Very impressed! I'm using this on my pedal steel guitar. Great company! I plan to purchase there string cutter next. I definitely recommend this item...& this company.

Fits hand well. Spins free and smooth without the typical wobble others have. "No screw" like the cheap ones have to cause resistance, wobbling, backing out and falling apart or tighten up in the middle of things. A reasonably hard yet soft coating that won't scratch your baby! Designed to work on most peg sizess I've come across big and small. Like others have stated it's pricey, but I think how many of the inferior ones I've purchased over the years and the aggravation they've caused in lost time, general frustration due to poor design, or worse, the damage done when in a hurry with more important things on my mind than worrying about the above. $15?... I'd be happier at the $10 level, but it is what it is and worth it to eliminate the inherent shortcomings others have. As described and hefty enough to feel like something in your hand, but lite enough to not wear you out in the process. No cheap plastic here that I can detect. Seems to be made of good quality materials and hopefully it'll last many years. Very satisfied customer!

Functionality: I have three ukuleles and a banjolele that I wanted new strings on. My wrist does get tired of winding and it takes a while. I read the reviews and chose this one to try. It fits all my instruments, but is a little loose on a couple which causes it to slip off while winding which was annoying. The mechanism works smoothly and it did help the chore go easier and quicker. It feels a bit more substantial than others I've tried.

Has deeper peg pocket that prevents hitting of other pegs during winding/unwinding. Rubberized grip is thicker and comfortable, with smooth function. This is better from useability and functional standpoint compared to the econo-brands offered as "all-in-one", or packaged with a set of other econo-minded guitar tools. Invest in good tools, its worth it.

I had a cheap string winder that eventually cracked and broke. This one is thick and means business! So far, so goog.

It's like this tool was designed for my hand. I didn't even know I was holding it while I took off old strings and put on my new D'Addario EJ16-3D strings on my six string guitar. The action was incredibly smooth and it held on nicely to the tuning pegs. For my folk style sized guitar, this peg winder had about a 1/4 inch gap between it and the guitar's headstock. It's guaranteed to be a scratch-free experience with that clearance. The only way I can imagine that this tool would get "roughed up" like some photo I saw is if you tied it to your Ford F-150's rear bumper by a rope and dragged it through town. From a mechanical perspective, the mold that was used to form the plastic is top notch. All surfaces are smooth, tightly fit, and have a nice sheen to them. The blue tip is a hard rubber material that doesn't feel rubbery at all. The ball bearings are so friction-free that you can use this as a fidget spinner if you want. It'll spin about 180 degree with one hand warble. The best part is that changing my guitar strings was fast and effortless.

Love the way it fits over the tuning keys (not too big) ... love the smoothness. Best string winder I've ever used!

Avvolgicorde ottimo, il prezzo è elevato in confronto a prodotti con lo stesso utilizzo ma è giustificato dal fatto che è montato su cuscinetti, quindi il movimento è molto più fluido, il rivestimento della parte delle chiavette è in gomma morbida per evitare di graffiare o rovinare le chiavette ed inoltre è dotato sulla base del manico di un'inserto esagonale che serve per stringere il dado di fissaggio delle chiavette sulla paletta (io l'ho usato su prs e la misura è perfetta, su altri marchi dovrei verificare)

Bien fabricada, tacto agradable. Muy útil para encordar. Hace bien su función. Combina bien con las otras herramientas de la marca.

After using a cheap string winder meant for guitar, the MusicNomad string winder is amazing. Smooth and silent as per the description, and a snug fit on the tuner buttons. Plenty of clearance whilst winding mandolin tuners makes for a quick string change. If you are daunted by the price, don't be. As it's worth every penny.

Super enrouleur, avec un bon grip sur les mécaniques. Un peu cher, mais j’ai pu l’acheter en reconditionné. Acheté en remplacement d’un enrouleur que j’avais depuis une trentaine d’années(!), je pense en avoir jusqu’à ma mort avec celui-ci 😂
