Will this spray with a normal stream? What's the foaming action...upon contact with the surface or foam straight from the nozzle?

The product foams when sprayed from the bottle. There is a special foaming nozzle that the product passes through and foams as it's sprayed. It also contains a foaming agent to create the foam. If you prefer a more normal stream, we recommend using our original SuperClean. is it safe to use on acrylic tubs?

Yes, but you would need to dilute it first as it is high pH cleaner. The Super Clean web site has a chart that shows proper dilution ratios for cleaning just about anything.
