I realize my headline is purely personal and subjective and anything else you can think to throw in here, but it's how I feel and this is my personal review - for anyone that wants to listen and read. I don't like most plug ins. Toxic ingredients, super perfume-y smells (is that a word?) and they spill and get sticky. My husband can't stand the fake smells either, so our doggy house smells - doggy. It means the dogs roll around, jump in the lake and have fun (=happy dogs) but that means my house smells - well - like. a boggy doggy lake. I found this Enviroscent and thought - what the heck. And I'm in love. This one (lemon) smells, at first, like a cleaning product. But as it sets in and mellows a bit, I love it. Clean and lemony but not fake lemon. Like herbs. And as proof - my husband hasn't even noticed it's plugged in. When I walk in the house, there is no smack in the face of "HEY - WE HAVE FAKE BLACKBERRY PIE PLUGGED IN TO COVER UP THE DOGS". This is more of a "hey - it's clean smelling even though I haven't washed the floors in months". Okay - weeks. Anyhoo - give it a go. A bit pricey, but if I only have to purchase once a month or so, that's what I'd spend on perfume-ish blackberry pie. And this isn't offensive. Boom - my two cents - take it or leave it. But I love it.

I’ve been on a quest to find an air freshener that doesn’t smell like a chemical lab exploded in my living room—and I’m thrilled to report that the quest is over. This non-toxic air freshener is everything I’ve been looking for! The scent is amazing—clean, fresh, and just the right strength. It’s not overpowering, but still does the job of making my home smell like I’ve actually cleaned (even when I haven’t). I’ve had guests ask, “What smells so good in here?” and for once, I can proudly say it’s not just my baking cover-up candle. Best part? No headache, no weird chemical after-smell, and no feeling like I need to air out the house after using an air freshener (ironic, right?). Knowing it’s non-toxic makes me feel good about using it around my family, pets, and overly curious houseplants. If you’re tired of choosing between your health and a nice-smelling home—get this. Your nose (and lungs) will thank you.

UPDATE 2026: Apparently it takes some time for this product to ”warm up” and disperse scent. I wrote the review below in the first week of receiving this product. But now, three months later, it can definitely fill a two-story townhouse. And there’s plenty of product left. I actually have to unplug it and only use it for a few hours at a time because it does get very strong. I updated my review to four stars. ——— This is a pleasant fragrance, but it will not fill even a modest-sized living room. It's more of a passing whiff, even when newly plugged in. I have it near my fake Christmas tree so that when you pass by, you get a whiff of the "tree," just as you would if it were real. But that's about it. I unplug it at night to extend the fragrance. I can see how it won't last 45 days. That said, it smells great and I'm glad it's safe for my dog.

I bought this Enviroscent plug-in because I’ve been trying to move away from the more toxic options on the market. These are definitely not cheap, so I was really hoping the performance would match the price. First impression: Out of the package, the scent was actually pretty strong. It smelled great and came with a card showing the different scent strengths, which I appreciated. After using it: Within about 2 weeks, the scent faded significantly. For reference, this was in a small half bath, so I can’t imagine it being effective in a larger space. What I liked: • Cleaner alternative compared to traditional plug-ins • Scent itself is nice (Rainwater & Bamboo) • Easy setup What didn’t work for me: • Doesn’t last as long as expected • Price is high for the longevity • Fades pretty quickly after initial use Update after 14 days of daily use: Disappointingly, the scent became very faint. At this point, it’s barely noticeable. Additional note after trying other scents: I’ve since tried other scents from this brand and found that some actually perform better and last longer than this one, so it may just be specific to this scent. Bottom line: I like the idea of a cleaner plug-in and the scent itself, but for the price, I wouldn’t repurchase multiple units of this particular scent unless the longevity improves. Best for: Small spaces and those prioritizing non-toxic options over strong, long-lasting scent.

I was initially very impressed with this item, after the initial purchase, I purchased several more. Unfortunately, if you have any lung issues (COPD, etc.) these are not a good choice. They really affected my breathing and it got worse daily. There was nothing different in my home other than these air fresheners so I removed them and in less than 24 hours, my breathing was almost back to normal. People have stated also that these are pet friendly and I find that to not be true.....they had a bad allergic rash type issue with my cat, which I only noticed right at the time that I was dealing with my breathing issues. She seemed to be scratching excessively (she is strictly an indoor cat, has never been outside) I do not like giving negative reviews, and I honestly liked these and the idea that they were so simple & easy to use.....but I just want to caution anyone with lung issues to be aware that this item could have adverse effects on your breathing, and also please, check your pets for any excessive scratching & any rashes that might develop. Sorry to be negative, I did like these.....but my health and that of my cat are far more important to me than a nice smell :-(
