Stats: (5'11 FT, 252 lbs (down from 287); broadshoulderd: think Joe Rogan carrying a couple 13, 14 too many large pizzas around his waste) Welp, here goes. I've yo-yo'ed weight wise a fair amount during my life. I binge, I purge. What can I say? I like food. I've lost weight, I've gained weight; but as I round out my 30's and head to my 40's, it's become a little harder to successfully complete the purges, but as easy as ever to binge. While I feel that I've been in a good routine over the last month; going to the gym and working out from home, I've noticed that I was getting intense cravings to eat at dumb hours, especially on days where I was up early-ish (I'm an out of work bar manager) but still awake the same day some 16-18 hours later (2/3AM). I needed something to not only curb my desire for 'all things bread @ 2AM,' but if it gave me a boost at the gym; 'well great, sign me up.' Cue the late night Amazon purchase. I tried the Atrafen as soon as it showed up. 1 week in early returns: This stuff works. And it might actually work a little too well. When I work out, normally I sweat more than the other Joe-blow or Julie-schmooly. When I work out on this stuff, if you're within 3 feet of my bubble, odds are, you're getting wet. The 'thermal component' of this stuff is insane. The enhanced energy I got from 1 tablet lasted roughly 8-10 hours. And for me, it was almost too much energy. Full disclosure, I'm used to running a little hot; I've dealt with anxiety before & the unpleasantness definitional anxiety can truly bring. (jitters, sweating, lightheadedness, uneasiness) This stuff '100%' enables/enhances those feelings, but, as with any stimulant, that is the risk you run. You've been warned. When comparing it to other products I've taken -- namely Hydroxycut, I took that for 6 months or so and successfully went from 265 to 180 lbs back in 2008 (age 26); Atrafen definitely holds it's own. Hydroxicut has always provided the energy, and maybe even a 'more comfortable' energy, but the appetite surpressant effect it has on me has become less effective as I've gotten older. Atrafen's 'appetite surpressant' effect is insane. I simply am not hungry. With Hydroxicut, I'd use the drink packets in my water after breakfast in the morning (930/10AM) and then work all day, but by 9PM that night, I was starving, and it was too late to take another dose. This isn't happening with this stuff. For example, I took 1 pill at 3:45 PM yesterday afternoon. I worked out at 7:30 PM (had a half club sandwich (one piece of bread cut it half and a salad when I got home), went to bed at 3 AM, alarm went off at 10:30 AM, and I am still not hungry. Not at all. The lack of appetite sensation I can best describe as a 'tight stomach,' maybe the 'mildest of stomach aches:' a 2 or 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. I'm not a starve yourself type, and I've always taken more vitamins than I probably should, so even tho I'm not hungry, I'll 'convince myself' to eat one of those bananas on my kitchen table and maybe whip up a smoothie before golfing this afternoon, but other than that, I'll probably just let it ride on the food today. All in all, despite the tug of war I'm having with the perception and ferocity of the energy I'm getting off this stuff, everything the bottle and the description said this stuff was supposed to do, it's doing. How much weight and how 'jacked' I get off of it definitely remains to be seen (after all, it's not gonna run, lift and squat for me), but I'm definitely feeling a hearty weight fluctuation for the better coming on, and well, I couldn't be happier.

This is not the same product. AltraFen is a white powder, but this one is brown powder version (inside the capsule). This version gives me headaches and I basically wasted my money on a product that sometimes is white powder and sometimes brown powder. When can the company be consistent with the product? Unfortunately they don't take returns and I'm out $30.

June 1, 2017 I've already lost 1 pound in day. I've been on a diet for the past 3 months. I'm 48 years old and is going though menopause. It took me 2 months before I can loose only 5 pounds. It was only 1 1/2 years ago that I can loose 9 pounds in just 3 weeks!!! And now I'm struggling to loose weight. I've on a paleo diet for 3 months! Lost 5 in 2 months and and only loosing 1 1/2 pounds in the past month before taking this product. I feel a lot less hungry the first day and less craving. I will be back to write another review in couple weeks. June 4, 2017 It has been only 3 days since my review, and I just had to write another review! I used to buy a "Japan Best Slim", diet pills which used to work for me in the past, over the past 8 years, on and off, whenever I gain back weight, but that product only best worked for the first 3 weeks and wouldn't show anymore effect. I had just recently used the past month, before trying this product and had only lost a 2 pounds in months, compared to the last several times, I used to loose 15 pounds in just 3 weeks. After only loosing 2 pounds in a month, I knew that my body is changing a great deal, because I'm older now, at 48 years and after being on a yo yo diet since I'm was 25 and going though menopause, I thought I would never loose the weight again! Between 25-43 yrs of age, I have been between 27-40 pounds. After I reach 43, I gain up 52 pounds for the first time in my life. I went on a low carb, high protein diet and took 3 weeks to loose from 152 pounds to 137 pounds in only 3 weeks!!!! After that, from 137 pounds, it took 2 months to loose from 137-132 pounds, and from 132- 127 pounds, it took 3 months to loose. So, I get closer to my desired weight, it takes longer and longer! When I was in my 20's and 30's of age, It would only take 3 months to loose 15 pounds, in other words, this is poof, that as you get older, it's just so much harder to loose weight! It's been 3 months from 150 pounds, I only lost a total of 7.5 pounds, before trying this product! And just after 4 days of using Atrafen elite, I lost 4 pounds and plus being on a no carb, paleo diet, which I had already been on a paleo diet for the past 3 months! It was only a little over a year ago, I lost 9 pounds on a paleo diet in just 3 weeks! It's amazing how my body has changed in just little over year, which I can loose 5 pounds in 2 months!!! In the past 4 days, my body felt like a hot thermol, I wasn't if it was my hot flashes from me menopausing, but now I sure its Altrafen Elite. If you still fairly young, I would reccomend the regular AtraFen pills. I choice the Elite, only knowing how much more difficult it is for me to loose weight now. I am so happy now, because I got only 6 more days before a wedding, that I've been trying to loose 15 pounds, in time for this wedding! I'm now at 139 pounds and i'm confident enough, I'll loose another 4 pounds in the remaining 6 days!!! I am just so happy I choice to this product!

Received this product yesterday and started taking it this product morning. I purchased this product to suppress my appetite and give me more energy. I am a 40 year old female and weigh 160 lbs. (as a reference). I’ve started Weighht Watchers as a New Years resolution to eat healthy and have started excercising; walking/running on treadmill. Day 1- 1 pill in the AM - Felt a little jittery but not so bad I couldn’t take it. I don’t feel like it made my heart race. Which was one of my main concerns. I feel very alert, not sure if my energy level has increased because I sit behind a desk but I can tell you, I’m not sleepy! I normally get really hungry by lunch time even if I eat breakfast; constantly looking at the clock. This has definitely killed my appetite. Not even thinking about food or want to eat. I may take another pill this afternoon; before I work out. I don’t think I would take it before dinner because I’m afraid it will keep me up at night. Bottle says you can take up to 3 pills a day. I think it would be too much for me. Unusual side effects- It causes my nose to run and my mouth to salivate. I am a little more thirsty, which isn’t a bad thing because I need to increase my water intake. I will update my review after one week of use. So far l, I can say it truly works!

When I first started taking Atrafen Elite it worked great. It did suppress my appetite and I didn’t crave sweets as much. I wound up getting a stomach virus and didn’t take it for about a month, but when I started again my heart started racing, I would get very jittery and the nausea and vomiting were debilitating. I thought it was just a fluke so I waited a week and tried again, but with the same results. I don’t know if they changed the formula or it’s because I have actually lost over 50lbs (not from this) and the difference in weight affects it, but I can no longer use it.

Today is day two for me ... I took the first one yesterday about 7:30 a.m. and although I took the PM version as well, I had a bit of difficulty falling asleep. This morning I took it at six a.m. and two hours later, I had difficulty finishing half a whole wheat bagel. I'm sure nothing is happening yet as far as weight loss, but when I wake up after taking the PM version I don't feel bloated or heavy. My stomach feels flatter even after two days of the cocktail. Passing more urine as well. I tried on a pair of jeans the other day that were just a tinge uncomfortable; I'm going to wait about a week and try them on again to see if there's a difference in the waist. Of course, I'd like to see the scale numbers go down, but I'm more interested in losing inches; I'm 5'9 and can wear a 4 or 6 depending on the cut but the 4's are getting a little snug; this seems like a good way to catch myself before things get out of hand. The only downside for me (I haven't heard anyone else mention this and I read quite a few reviews), is that the first dose I got this HUGE burst of energy and as I was teaching (summer school) my students told me I needed to slow down. It didn't take long to level itself out -- but wow... I will check back in after next week's "try-on" but so far, so good. This actually did cut my appetite and I didn't get up from dinner last night feeling like I had eating the entire chicken.

I had to stop taking this product! It has done nothing but made me sick to my stomach! I gives me energy but does nothing to stop my cravings! It has done actually the opposite, I have more of an appetite and makes me feel very ill. Even after I eat I still feel ill and am still very very VERY HUNGRY!! And this product is not cheap! For $45 a bottle I expected it to work better then it did. After taking it the first day, instead of losing, I actually gained 1 lb! So not a good product! Bottom line is that nothing is as good as phentermine! You want a good appetite suppressant you have to get a prescription, there is no way around it. I should have learned my lesson with other products that claims it is just as good, to only waste my money to find out it is not. This product is no different! Don't waste your money!

I wasn't given these pills for free, and since so many were I wanted to leave a real review. I bought these after my last baby to help me with workouts and appetite control. I will say that as far as appetite control these are great. I have so far only ever taken one in the morning before I eat and I am not tempted to eat at all. Like, all day. Even things I will sometimes eat, I don't want to finish it, going so far as to spitting out what's in my mouth because I just have no desire to swallow more. I've actually had to make myself eat little bits of things. As far as energy to work out, I do find myself sweating a ton, and feeling jacked up BUT I don't feel motivation to workout as I have with other diet pills I've used in the past. I do still make myself workout, but I find myself just not wanting to, whereas with other's I would want to run or do something. So appetite control is on point, activity is eh. Also, I do find myself feeling more irritated and easier to anger than usual. I have 4 kids who can never find their shoes or book bags on the way out the door and I would say I get way more worked up about it than normal. But nothing out of control. I just know myself and my body enough to know what is causing it.
