I have an 8 year old boy who is thin and about 54" in height. Would a medium size work?? It says it's a child's costume, so I want to be sure.

What size would fit a 6 year old about 50” tall?

I bought a medium and it fit my six year old who is about that height fine but it was a little long so I hemmed it. Small would have been too tight though.
