great price. quality replacement.
I have a 23 year old 10 HP 2 stage snow blower. Lately the carburetor was sticking dumping fuel or not giving enough. At one point my muffler was cherry red. We had a few years without any significant snow so I was good. This year we had 12 inches in one snowfall. The snow blower worked great for about 10 minuets and then it would stall. I'd wait a few minutes, start it up and get another 10 minutes. I skeptically bought this replacement carbonator. The reviews were good. It came with a-lot of extras like a throttle handle (which mine had broke) primer, spark plug etc. Today I swapped out the old carb with the new one. I took pics before so it wasn't too bad. It took me about 30 minuets. Put fresh gas in and it started without any issues. I let it run for 20 minuets and all good!

Got my snowblower running again!
Bought an early 2000s MTD Pro snow blower off of marketplace for like $50. Guy left old fuel in it for like 3 years so the carb was all gunked up. Got this bad boy and it probably took maybe an hour to swap out with the old one. Just realize there's some parts on your old carb that have to move over to this. Next day we got hit with a huge snowstorm and my snowblower ran great! Kit came with so many extra parts which was nice including bolts for mounting the choke control from the old carb. Which thank god it did because I had to cut the old carbs bolts with a rotary tool because the bolts were stripped and weren't budging. The kit even comes with 2 pieces of some solid fuel line with a fuel filter and shutoff to upgrade the old fuel line that didn't include any of that. I actually didn't realize that is what it was for and thought they didn't send a long enough fuel line so I'll probably do that a different time. My line was fine so it didn't matter too much, but I can't speak on how it holds up since I didn't use it. I do wish it came with extra line for the primer (be aware that it doesn't in case you have to cut the line because its stuck on old carb), but for $20 though, this is a great kit and everything fit perfectly. Much better then trying to clean up the old one which I now have as a spare. I can see me using parts from this kit for a long time. Take pictures of your old carb before removing it so carb adjustment is just putting everything back where it previously was.

fired up and ran great
Used this a on a craftsman snow blower. Received the carb in good condition. Installed it with the shut off and filter, which were not on the snow blower. These were a good plus for me. Replaced the primer as well. Added fuel, primed it, and it fired right up and ran great. Very pleased.

Great replacement carburetor, great price!
Purchased solely for the carb, the other stuff was a bonus. Fuel line doesn't look to be a good quality, but it was better than what was on it, im sure it will be dryrotted by next year, and I'll be kicking myself in the @ss for using it, lol! Carb was an exact fit for mt Tecumseh snowblower, and it now runs 100% perfect 👌 👍

Perfect Fit, and Just in Time
This fit perfectly on my 15-year old Troy-Bilt Storm 10028 (10 HP Tecumseh motor). My symptoms: ran erratic and motor surging. Last year, I kept the choke slightly on to somewhat smooth it out. This year, it was really rough and nothing helped. So, I took the carburetor out, since I figured the emulsion tube holes were plugged. And, don't pay attention to the YouTube videos on removing the carburetor on a Troy-Bilt 10-24. A 10-24 is a bit of a pain. The 10028 is easy. 4 screws on the plastic cover, 4 screws on the metal shield, and 1 screw on the key switch and everything's out of your way. What's a pain on this carburetor is the emulsion tube itself. The old ones were brass and came out relatively easy. This one is nylon, and almost impossible to remove without breaking it and tearing up the O-rings. I tried spraying it in place with Mac's carburetor cleaner and the ol' SeaFoam flooding cleaning trick. Both excellent products, but without being able to manually unplug the emulsion tube holes, it just didn't work. Then I saw this carburetor on Amazon. And...it cost less than what I spent on my carburetor cleaners alone! Could it actually be any good? Well, at this price, what have I got to lose. It came last night--two days early. Fortuitous, because we got an overnight snow. Typical Colorado weather...50 degrees one day, 6 inches of snow the next. I got up at 2am, took the snow blower apart and got the old carburetor off, transferred the choke mechanism and hold-down strap (just 2 screws each--easy) and had it all back together again. 50 minutes total, from start to finish. I filled it up with fresh gas, and it fired right up, running smooth as glass. I cleared my 140' x 20' driveway over the next 3 hours without a single hiccup. Anyone that's thinking about rebuilding their old carburetor, please, don't do it! Just take the old one off, transfer the choke strap and the hold-down strap onto this new carburetor and save yourself two days of grief. You'll be happy you did. Your good old Troy-Bilt snowblower will once again run like new. One final note: this kit comes with a new throttle knob, choke knob, primer bulb, gas shut-off valve, gas and primer lines and clamps. I didn't need them, but they'll be nice to have on hand in case any of this stuff breaks in the future.

Quality for the price
Fantastic. Should have changers it out years ago. My snow blower is 32 years old. Carb was fouled for a few years. Put this economical beauty on and it runs like new.

Very happy with this purchase!
Kit comes with way more than I needed, but always nice to have and not need...! (wish I would have had that mentality when I was taking pictures of all the linkage hookups 🙄) Once installed, my old Ariens 8 horsepower snow thrower started right up! Now just have to do a bit of tweaking to keep it running, but very impressive so far.... Way way way better than having to rebuild the old one (it hadn't been started in over 6 years with a zero fuel stabilizer) Very thankful for the extra gaskets as well... The only difference was that the choke assembly is much shorter in positioned slightly differently so I can't use the old linkage to control the choke... No big deal as it's only a 3" further reach to grab the choke arm itself. Super easy install, so long as you remember what goes where lol! MOST DEFINITELY WORTH the $!

Good quality. Pretty complete kit for the money

I was sceptical about buying an aftermarket carb verses an OEM one but at a 1/3 rd the cost what the heck...long story short..My blower has never run as well as it does now......starts first pull and it powers thru the snow without any issues.

This carb works just as I hoped & better than trying to get the old one to work having old fuel left in it for 8 years. The primer, hose & knobs were a bonus.
