Does it come with a cover for the blade when it's not in use?

I bought two of these. The smaller one didn't have a cover but the larger one did

Do you peel off the plastic wrap on the handle or leave it there?

Hi - I peeled it off; my logic was that apart from looking better, it would give better grip and therefore better control. It is a fantastic saw. I use mine for cutting Shina ply for Japanese woodcutting.
