Perfect for cookie dipping.
I use this chocolate to coat the bottom of homemade digestive biscuits (cookies). Using the microwave I heat the chocolate for 30 seconds, stir, 15 seconds, stir then 10 seconds followed by stirring for as long as it takes to just melt the chocolate. Then I put 1 Tbsp ( it isn’t really 1 Tbsp because some chocolate always stays on the spoon) on parchment paper and set the 2.5” or 3” completely cooled cookie on top and push down until the chocolate just shows at the edge of the cookie. Leave for 30 minutes and the chocolate dries to a very solid layer. It just peals off the parchment and looks perfect. The chocolate isn’t too sweet and it is easy to work with and store. I freeze my cookies and the chocolate stays perfect. Started with a 2 lb bag but just ordered a 5 lb bag because I am now addicted to digestive biscuits. The two pound was enough for about 60 cookies.

The BEST!
Many people talk about the chocolate not melting smooth. take 1/2 tsp of coconut oil and met it on the bottom of a pan and add the chocolate. Keep stirring, put it on the heat for 1 minute stirring, take off the heat and stir for 1 minute, add it back to the heat as you stir.... keep doing it until its Melted evenly. This is amazing chocolate! Not sour like the dark chocolate. They arrived fresh, the texture was perfect.

Excellent quality & taste great. Needs better packaging
Taste is absolutely perfect. Very smooth melting as long as you do it on the correct temperature. Sadly, I opened up my package and the bottom seam of the plastic was open/apart and I lost a quarter of my product. I sent them a message but I had not heard anything back.

Great for small candy molds, making filled candy.
Excellent tasting chocolate. Highly recommend. I am new to candy making and have been trying to make filled chocolates. I first bought chocolate melts from Michaels locally. I didn’t work well at all, remaining too viscous to work properly in the molds. After some internet research, this chocolate had good reviews. It was for good reason, candies turned out perfectly. Will definitely buy again.

Do not buy this trash
Not even close to chocolate. I bought the same product last year and it was fine, but this year I used the same exact method to melt the "chocolate", and it wouldn't even come close to melting. So, I used a different, hotter method - and still nothing. Even a couple chocolate bits that accidentally fell in the boiling water wouldn't melt! So I then placed the chocolate in a pyrex and placed it in the oven. Eventually some started to burn, but still wouldn't melt. At no point did any liquid chocolate form, just a weird oily paste. The "chocolate" was then left at room temperature, where it also never fully re-solidified. I've melted chocolate on plenty of occasions to make various treats, and I've never seen anything like this in my life. Don't waste your money - they do not accept returns of any kind.

Delicious and beautiful on candy
I have a friend who owns her own bakery, and she recommended Merckens chocolate as the best. I have used it for over a year now and it is absolutely delicious. Its low melting point ensures that you don't scorch it, and once you've heated about one minute, it's time to start stirring. Heating and stirring every 30 seconds after to let it continue to melt, depending on how much you're melting, and you are sure to end up with the best tasting chocolate possible because you haven't overheated it. I've used it to make chocolate/peanut butter Buckeyes and Dubai chocolate with rave reviews. It also melts beautifully and dries slightly shiny for eye appealing candies!
