This enclosure is the perfect solution for installing an electric car charger outdoors. It serves two purposes one being that it keeps it out of the weather and two it’s extremely unsightly if not covered up. You roll the cord up and inside and nobody knows what’s in there. The enclosure is stainless steel and has a built-in pitch on top to keep water off. It comes with a lock but I don’t really use it

The cabinet is nice for the price . The door lock is terrible it broke the second day and was hard to turn the first day I received it. I bought a new lock with a handle on Amazon and it works fine now and the key is better on the new lock. I mounted a Tesla charge in it outside and it fits great. Also like the air vents in the side and top will help keep the charger cool when in use. For the price you can't really can't go wrong with the purchase.

I bought a "like new" enclosure. The packaging was terrible. None of the air bags were inflated. Someone just took the old box and shipped it out. I have had great experience with "like new" Amazon items, this one had a large dent in the back, the fiberglass panel was damaged and the lock was also damaged. As others noted, all of the hardware was just thrown inside the enclosure and rattled around during shipping. They state the item is a waterproof enclosure. Not true. It has huge ventilation holes on the sides and top of the enclosure. Bugs, Hornets etc are likely going to to love it! It would make a great enclosure for a EV car charger (as the picks in the other review showed) and it is a good value for that purpose. I planned on using mine the same way. The challenge is getting one shipped and delivered that is not damaged. Mine is heading back and not sure if I'll order another one.

Did you order a buffing wheel and compound with your order? You're going to need it! Straight out of the box, I found the enclosure to be scratched on the front panel in two places, top to bottom. Looks as though someone used a box opener on it (no, it wasn't me.) Loose parts thrown into the box, further damage around the enclosure. I'll use this one because I need it and don't have time to receive another, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING THIS ENCLOSURE.

These are too thin to be installed in an insecure location. If someone kicked them they would be dented up like a crumpled can, and would probably open. I will use them where nobody can reach, but won't buy these again.
