SanDisk Professional PRO-READER CFast Card Reader, with super-fast media transfer

Sandisk Pro CFexpress Type B reader/writer. Bought this for transferring photographs from camera to phone/desk top PC. It maybe more expensive than alot of others but the build quality and speed of file transfer is well worth paying for. 10/10. You pay for what you get, can't recommend this or the SD Card reader enough.

Two caveats to this review - it is early days - only had it a month or so - and of course as you can tell this is pricey. Ok I like this - feels solid and well-made, metal case gives confidence for both robustness and heat dissipation. They will clip together with other models in the range ( I have an sd reader too) - this makes it feel even more solid and stable on the desk. Transfer rates? Well using a Sandisk extreme pro CF express and cheap USB 3.1 cable - around 500-700 MB/s down and 400 plus MB/s. I note of caution - do use a suitable cable and plug it into the correct port. Goes without saying I guess - but yours truly used a 'found in the cupboard' cable and the download rates was about 40 MB/s - my bad. I don't think you will be disappointed if you buy one (and appropriate cable - the supplied one was too short to go round the back of my pc). It certainly gives more confidence than the plastic things you normally get. Pricey tho'. - hence only 4 stars. I'll update this review if anything changes.

Just what I required - a high quality CFAST card reader. Delivery was fast. Not had the chance to test it with a heavy duty cycle but plugs and plays with zero issues so far. ## UPDATE ## A few days later..... for unknown reasons the tally light has stopped working but the drive still reads/writes data. Irksome - will have to return the unit!

4 stars because its nearly as big as my laptop! Ok joking, but it is the size of a small mobile phone.

Comperata in prospettiva in quanto la fotocamera che usa schede CFexpress tipo B ancora non mi è arrivata quindi mi riservo di recensire prossimamente questo articolo, in ogni caso io uso normalmente schede SanDisk e non ho mai avuto problemi quindi ho dato fiducia anche a questo articolo.

Al momento lo probé con una tarjeta lexar de 512 GB y ala velocidad de copiado fue de menos de un minuto para un archivo de 64 GB en menos de un minuto con MacBook Pro M1 PRO MAX

O leitor de CFExpress tape B mais rápido

Der beste CFexpress Kartenleser, den ich jemals genutzt habe habe. Die einzige (kleine) Enttäuschung war das beiliegende USB-C (Thunderbolt) Kabel. Dieses hatte leider entweder einen Wackelkontakt oder eine sehr schlechte Abschirmung. Nur 45 MByte/s Übertragung waren damit möglich. Mit einem anderen (Thunderbolt 4) Kabel wurden die erwarteten Geschwindigkeit meiner Test-Karte problemlos erreicht. Diese lag bei ca. 1050 MByte/s. Leider hatte ich keine schnellere Karte zur Hand, um den Leser an seine Grenzen zu bringen. Der Leser ist relativ groß, aber dafür ist die Verarbeitungsqualität sehr gut. Im Inneren sind Heatsinks und Wärmeleitpads verbaut, welche die entstehende Hitze perfekt nach außen ableiten. (siehe Foto) Außerdem ist der Schreibschutz-Schalter eingebaut, was ich bisher noch bei keinem Kartenlesegerät gesehen habe. So kann man dafür sorgen, dass die Karten immer im Read-Only Modus vom PC ausgelesen werden. Man kann nicht versehentlich Daten löschen oder überschreiben. Positiv: + Hochwertiges Aluminiumgehäuse + Sehr gute Wärmeableitung, die Karte erwärmt sich kaum + Schreibschutz-Schalter + Sehr hohe Geschwindigkeit durch Thunderbolt Anschluss + Stapelbar mit weiteren Lesern der Serie + kleine Gummifüße gegen Verrutschen Negativ/Neutral: - Beiliegendes Kabel minderwertig - Kein Push-To-Release Kartenslot. Man muss die Karte manuell herausziehen, anstatt sie etwas hereinzudrücken, damit sie sich von alleine löst - Extrem hoher Preis Insgesamt kann ich das Gerät sehr empfehlen. Ich verwende es ohne den Pro-Dock und bin trotzdem sehr zufrieden.
