These sticker strips (not dots) are easy to apply and easy to remove. Just slide them under the strings or apply them when you're doing a string change. They are ideal for beginners who want to learn the notes and not just chord formations. I also use them to find new chord forms up the neck since it's hard to find a chart for that. I definitely recommend these.

If you are a complete novice, or a parent setting up a ukulele etc, read this first. These stickers are great, good quality, sticky enough to stay on but not sticky in a way that leaves residue when you want to remove them. Highly recommend. Now, how to use them. First thing is to realise direction of the letters should face you when you are holding the ukulele to play it. So don’t put the stickers on to face the audience. Effectively you are putting them on upside down so you can read them when looking down and learning to play. If you do put them the other way, the notes will be wrong. I’ve put some images to show how to place them. It’s very easy, just start with “0” furthest away from the body, and work your way in. You’ll see some stickers have one or two little dots on them near the numbers. This should line up with the little dot markers on the ukulele so you know you’re putting them on correctly. eg sticker 5 will be on the space that has one dot like the sticker. To put the stickers on, I just used a little bit of thin cardboard. Stick one end of the sticker on the cardboard and slide it through that way. I included a little video to show you. You can also use something like a toothpick as other reviewers have done. The item comes with two sheets so don’t worry if you make a mistake. The stickers come off very easily and you can stick them down again, or use the spare sheet. Review - very happy with them. They look good, are nice quality, and make learning much easier. Easy to remove without leaving any marks or glue. Two tips in short: place stickers “upside down” so it’s facing the person who is playing the instrument when they look down. And use a little bit of card stock or similar to make it easy to pas through under the strings. Hope this helps another newbie!

I put these on my travel/practice uke and used the two sheets to take the notes right up to the last fret. They were a little fiddly to get under the strings but using what another reviewer suggested I started at the sound hole and once I had the two ends of the sticker I slid it up to where it needed to be. The stickers are all numbered so easy to work out which frets they sit on and, since the 5, 7, 10 & 12 stickers have the dot's on it helped double check with the dots on the uke. I picked the black stickers since others mentioned the clear ones notes hard to see and rubbed off. So far no sign of wear even after daily use for a month or so. Can't attest to if there is a residue when peeling off as don't expect to do that soon. If there is then not worried as the benefit will outweigh any time spent fixing later. All in all very happy with these.

Unfortunately, no instructions but they are great so far. I used a toothpick to make it easier to go under the strings and place the stickers, I am sure you could also use a bobby pin whichever you have on hand.
