Optimistic! Beautiful lighting.
Arrived promptly. Nicely packaged in case you’re interested in gifting this. Very easy to assemble. I love the colored lights at night. I glued all my joints as I assembled it. The things I really like about this spinner is the whole top is removable. The light sits in its spot between the spinners. You can easily take the light off to take it inside ( in case of windy weather) ( or vandals) But the whole top piece of the spinners with the light bulb slides over the stake, so it is easily removable in case of severe weather. I gave it 4 stars on sturdiness because the ground piece is very small. I think it would be more stable in High winds if there was a broader space between the ground spikes. There’s only about 2 inches. I can’t wait for spring so I can see it in full action.

Great item, needs a little tinkering.
Bought this the first time in 2017. Blades spin freely in opposite directions. Solar globe works great, lasts 6+ hours. It isn't bright enough to light a path but shows up great in the garden at night. Pole assembly seemed "loose." An appropriate length of copper pipe over the poles fixed that. The garden is fairly loamy, I had to add a small group of softball sized stones to help stabilize the pole against high wind. The fins were slightly unbalanced, leading to an uneven spin. Three well placed bronze colored paper clips rebalanced the assembly. The crackle glass comes off the small solar panel and the panel should be wiped off once a year for best charging. I also replaced the battery after 4 years, which was just a rechargeable AA. Overall, a great interest piece in the garden. I had to replace after 7 years; the bearing assembly wore out. At about 7$ a year, I bought another. :) I'll keep the crackle ball assembly as a replacement.

Spinner does not spin
I needed a new spinner for my backyard koi pond to try to help keep away a blue heron which just found the pond and started eating my fish. They don't like movement, therefore a new spinner. I had read a number of reviews that indicated the spinner dos not spin. There were enough good reviews and since I liked the design decided to purchase it any way. Unfortunately, as in the other bad reviews, mine doesn't spin either. The attached video (sorry it's 90 degrees out and I couldn't flip it) is in a 9 mph wind and as you can see my 4 year old spinner which I keep in the front yard is spinning well. This one not turning at all. Also the unit is a bit smaller than I expected. My overall rating is a 3 for the unit. while it looks good and is easy to assemble and certainly giftable and the solar light is a plus, the fact that it doesn't turn and the poles could be a thicker gauge account for my review. Since I need a working spinner I am returning this unit.

Needs lots of wind
First the bad then the good. This spinner requires a lot more wind to work than any of the other we have, In fact, we thought it was defective until we got a couple really windy days. And the rear blades haven't yet spun very fast. The good - incredibly rugged, attractive design. Heavy duty with roller bearings. But this design makes it heavy. The customer service is OUTSTANDING, they respond super fast and want to make everything right. Conclusion - if you live in a really windy area (> 15 - 20 mph?) this is a great product. If you're place is just breezy, get something lighter.

Not recommended, poor construction product
Only works one side, only if the wind is over about 10 mph. Had to bend coils to just get one side to work. The blades are almost 90 degrees out of position compared to a god spinner that works with less than wind is only one mph. Poor construction. The stand is worthless thin metal and not enough stakes to place stable in ground. Piece of junk. Tom It was replaced with the taller model. Again poor support. Out of alignment due to poor machining at adjoining tubes. No stability. Wind at 4-5 mph failed to turn blades even one complete revolution. Got out my Husqvarnar 150BT leaf blower. Had to get within 5 feet to get blades to start turning. On my other companys model, it turned at almost 30 Yards away. -- Today we have some higher gusts near 8- 10 mph resulting in a few revolutions. I set the heights at 2 ft off ground and again on 4 ft T-post. Spin orientation seems odddly at almost 90 ddegrees out of alignment to our other companies very well made model. You need to provide an extra mounting stake. That and all tubes need to be slightly larger/dense thicker construction. Need to check machining alignment. Maybe reorientate direction of blade positioning. My wife says, tell them they kind of work. PS, the lights are working, that's cool.

Excellent Wind Spinner
I have nothing bad to say about this SteadyDoggie Wind Spinner. I needed something for my new rock garden that I just put in to replace plants the deer would not leave alone. The spinner came in two days and I started to put it together, it was boxed good in foam plus shipped in another box so it came in good shape. I am a 92 year old woman but not afraid to jump in and put things together myself. When your alone you have to do this to get it like you want it. This spinner went together just like the instruction said and I went to place it outside. I first put it in the dirt beside my rock garden and it started to spin just fine. I did not like the height to balance other items in the garden so I took out one extension and began to find a place in the rock garden itself. I had to move some of the rock and interested the grounded piece and pushed other rocks wedged in so it was sturdy. With the spinner wheels attached it started to rotate and was wonderful just what I wanted for an added attraction. It has been cloudy since I put in up so have not checked out the light attached. It came with a rechargeable battery so I am sure one of these nights it will shine brightly. Love my spinner.

The materials are very poor quality; the post assembles in approx 4 pieces
this is not a review on the seller, only the product. The materials are very poor quality; the post assembles in approx 4 pieces, and they are not strong once assembled. The post material is thin,so the weight of the top section where the wind blades are cause it to bend more. Also, I had it in the yard for one day and then it rained. I came out the next morning to stabilize it because it was leaning, and noticed that there were pools of rusty water in the wind blades. Each wind blade has a thin bar that the blades are tac-welded(sp?) to apparently hold them in place, but they are not powder coated or primed, because they had rusty forming on them after only 1 day of being exposed to rain. I like the look of the blades, which is why I bought it, but for the price, the stand/post could've been built of better materials. So now I will have to have a post built for me to hold the wind blades. I will have it made as one piece, and thicker material for stability. Plus, I will have to find something to apply to the blade bars so that they won't continue to rust. I wouldn't buy it again.

Stabil , lustig anzusehen
Allerdings haben wir es nur mit dem kurzen Stück an einem bestehenden Holzgerüst befestigt, nicht in die Erde gesteckt, da es sonst bei starkem Wind nicht stabil genug ist. So aber ist es perfekt

Not a good product for purchase
Not pleased with this purchase! Bought it last year for my sisters birthday in August 2020, worked perfectly! And this year, it would not work, ball bearings were gone in it to make it spin when the wind 💨 hit it. What the heck 🥴, and was not cheap cost wise. Not happy whatsoever when my sister told me this 🥴
