Box says made in China but it shipped from United States. this really works good, we bought cheaper one and threw it away, worked one day then started going off anytime it felt like it without noone here.

Need loud alarm to only go off for a short duration ... just long enough to scare the person away and then stop. can you set how long this alarms for?

Cannot change duration that I'm aware of. I use it all the time. I'm guessing the alarm goes for 15 seconds which is plenty long and it is plenty loud to scare away intruders and wake me up, too.

will it detect pet movement? I have a pet door in the garage and want to know when my pet comes in.

It will detect pet movement. I have mine set at 4 feet and it trips the alarm if the cat gets within 7 or 8 feet of the sensor.

Will this work through walls? Want alarm door walk in customers if I'm in the warehouse

yes, I have the sender on the wall above my garage door and the alarm in my kitchen three rooms away. The sender senses movement at least 50 feet away. It might work even further away.
