It works!
As with all of Gentlemen Republic's products this too is excellent. The hold is incredible and it washes out like nothing. I'm not a fan of the wax paraben prducts that have a hard time washing out but this stuff is not like that. Highly recommend: low shine, strong hold, easy cleanup!

Great product
I tried it first at my barber shop and I loved it. Not only you get a great natural hold - and not greasy nor shining, nor wet looking - but it smells good and it's water based so it does not leave your hands sticky. A great product.

Great styling product
I get great hold from the Matte paste without leave my hair greasy, crunchy. or wet looking. I have tried several products over the years and this is by far the best I have used. I have found that It is easy to apply and washes off your hands without leaving any sort of residue. In the past, I was an American Crew Fiber user, but I like this product better. The only downside for me is the cost. I usually get it cheaper from my hair stylist.

The product smells good, but Gentleman Republic gel is really where it’s at!

Love this product
I keep it on reorder because it’s the only hair product I enjoy. Keeps what little hair I have left in place and doesn’t look all gooey. Nice and dry like the good lord intended

Works great and smells great!
I love this product mainly because it doesnt leave a shine to my hair like the gel does. The matte paste works great and i love the smell of it.

Good, but I still like Refined better
It held well, it had a matte finish - things I enjoyed about it, but... it left my hair feeling sticky and gummy, which was not so thrilling. I’ve been a regular consumer of Gentlemen Republic Refined, and love it. I thought I’d try this because it claimed to have even better hold (which wasn’t really a big problem with Refined, but I was just curious), and it also claimed to have a Matt finish instead of the glossy finish of Refined. I’ll be going back to Refined
