Will a 4090 fit vertical?

Hello, yes actually. 4090 series cards would be able to fit in the Core P6 vertically.

Is it required to install fans at the front?

No. If air cooling then more big fans can run slow and quiet vs a few zippy fans sounding like a vacuum. But front aren’t required. There are a lot of options for fan mounting on the Core P6 and they don’t all have to be used. I put them in front (2ea 140mm) since I wanted the available airflow to be high when needed. I have 2 more in the bottom as intake and 3 fans on a 360mm rad exhausting with a single 120 at the rear exhausting as well. When closed up the air goes up and out the top, back and offside panels. The fans mostly idle except the 3090 stock fans. Gonna be a bit till I put the water block on it. Whatever you build will dictate what is needed cooling wise. A simple low powered build won’t need much. I have a 12900 and 3090fe, a good deal of air is a good idea to keep those components alive and at full potential. When I complete the loop to the gpu I may have all the fans near idle. My case is currently open (optional btw) so most fan air isn’t directed by the side glass.
