Smart Kettle by WeeKett

Excellent kettle, takes a little longer to boil (it stops to keep checking the temperature) but not enough to be problematic. Also a bit noisier than our previous one but again not to much to be a big issue. We did have a slight issue but this was solved very quickly and efficiently by a superb customer service team. Easy to set up in the app and sync with Alexa only a minor issue with dropping WiFi (that could be our router) it doesn’t seem to like multi frequency bands All in all would I have another one…………. Yes!

Set up, no issues, bought so I can boil the kettle on the way home, as it was always a winter thought about being able to make a hot drink faster if the kettle was already boiled & waiting (what a dream). Having various temp settings is a really nice bonus. So the time came, my old one started leaking & I bought this... excitedly. It's sleek, smart & relatively quiet as far as kettles go, boils fast. It's set up with Google home/assistant too has it's own app. Apparently theres a baby bottle mode, not really looked into this as that time has passed. The only issue we now have is NO ONE in this house leaves water in the kettle. It's always empty, so being able to say "Google or Alexa... boil the kettle" is no good, I have to get up, to check & fill it! *sigh* dream was good while it lasted. But it is a good kettle, really lightweight. Daughter loves the variation of temperature for her many different teas, not certain she's used the app yet. Would be good if it could sense water over 3inch being in it though.

Absolutely amazing, worth paying a few extra £s for this kettle than buying a standard kettle. Quiet, fast boiling, very stylish, perfect temperature setting for hot chocolate & so easy to use by hand or by the app

This is a most interesting kettle. It arrived well packaged, with some detailed instructions. Please see photos and video The overall quality of the metal casing is decent, but not very thick or substantial. However, it does the job. The lid is a little stiff to open and close but it has worked each and every time we have used it, and we use it a lot. The kettle engages well with the stand and certain one touch temperatures can be set from there. A more gradual control is to integrate the kettle with Alexa, vis the Smart Life App. You absolutely need to make sure that your WiFi has 2.4Ghz, similar for many smart home appliances. It absolutely will fail to connect to a 5Ghz WiFi. Once connected to the WiFi- easy enough to do visa the Smart Life App then Alexa, providing the Smart Life App is associated with the Alexa App, will then allow remote control. Saying things like "Alexa, what is the current temperature of the kettle" will work fine. Also "Alexa, kettle 90" will set the temperature target to 90c and turn on the kettle. You must NOT add the word "degree" to that sentence, it fails for us if we do that. You can use 1 degree increments for the kettle when using Alexa voice control. We checked the actual temperature with both a infra red tester and a glass thermometer. The temperature is most accurate. It does not over boil either. Switching off immediately when it reaches 100c. We do get a notification on our phones when the kettle is on and then when the target temp is reached, that is via the Smart Life App. It would have been nice if Alexa would have vocally told us, that does not happen. Our router is placed quite some distance away from the kettle, about twenty feet through a double wall. It has never failed with the connection. It is not particular noisy, see video. The brushed metal finish can mark, typical of brushed metal. Easy enough to clean though. The spout is just ok for pouring. You absolutely cannot rush it, if you do then it gushes to the sides. It is ok, as long as you realise that. What I would have liked..... Voice integration with Alexa to tell us when the kettle has heated up. 3kw rather than 1.7kw for faster heating of water. Perhaps a thicker metal, as it does feel a little flimsy. Improvements to the spout for pouring Water level gauge sensor built in to be used by Alexa, to prevent it turning on if too little water is in the kettle. Overall we are impressed by the kettle, the remote function being most useful. Depending how much you pay for this, we got it on a deal, I would recommend it. I do hope this review has helped you.

Bought this to upgrade from the silver Weekett kettle that we loved, all works perfectly, we just wanted this more stylish modern looking one, this new one is also 3000w rather than the older silver one at 2200w so it should boil quicker, but no this takes an age to boil, when it gets to the 80’s it then constantly turns on and off before it finally reaches 100c! Ok so that’s the first grievance, I contacted the manufacturers from Amazon, waited ages before I finally got an answer, when I did it was all scrambled and unreadable on my iPhone, no option to open in a browser so no idea what was said, the next grievance is that despite googling about it says you can get a replacement scale filter as it does not come with one but can’t find one that fits to order! Strange your other model does come with scale filter and you can buy replacements, and the last grievance and the most dangerous one is that the spout just pours water out sideways as well as forward, I were sliders indoors but you have to stand back as like I say when pouring it runs down the sides of the kettle splashing boiling water onto your feet! Ok things that do work but not well, for one when kettle is boiled and you have poured most of the water out, say to cook your veg with but then you want to fill the kettle straight back up again the kettle turns straight back on after placing it on the base, no I don’t want to heat without me asking or pressing a button, so that means we can’t leave water in there ready to make a drink when the dinners finished cooking, ok another thing is the power button on the kettle is not very sensitive, so you need to press it hard to work, not only that you have to press it twice to turn the kettle on, just easier to ask Alexa to boil the kettle, rather than tapping it a few times trying to keep it hard enough and hard enough twice! Looks good, nice having the temp displayed on the outside of the kettle all easy to read, one last thing our old silver Weekett kettle was single skinned but kept hot for ages, this double skinned new kettle gets cold very very quickly, wish we hadn’t of got rid of our old 😞

This is an excellent temperature control kettle with smart app functionality. Inside the box is the kettle, base and instruction booklets. The kettle is very nicely designed and looks great with its silver steel finish. There is a water level indicator on both sides. Towards the top of the handle is the lid release button so that you can easily fill the kettle. There is a limescale filter inside. The weight of the kettle is nice and light. The base unit is also very well designed. Along the base are a power button, temperature control buttons and a keep warm button. Plugged in and turned on the buttons light up in a nice, clear blue colour to denote your selection. Above the buttons is a blue light that may blink, this is the wireless connection indicator. The kettle swivels nicely when on the base and there are non slip feet underneath. I started off as instructed by wiping around the kettle and then filling the kettle to the maximum water level and boiling it, twice, discarding the water after each boil. The noise level is similar to that of other kettles I have used. I do not find these annoying at all. Boiling time is akin to other kettles I have previously used, again I am bothered by this as its a drink and I am in rush to get it boiled as fast as I can. Everything works great and I can now enjoy the great taste of tea and coffee at the recommended temperature as I once did with a previous kettle like this. Now onto the smart functionality. I installed the Smart Life app, registered and connected it to the kettle via my home WIFI and mobile Bluetooth connection. The app is very good and you can of course start boiling the kettle from here, adjust the required temperature and stop the kettle before it has reached its target if you so wish. The app also displays the current temperature whilst boiling but also after you have finished so you can see how much it has cooled in case you want another quick but cooler cuppa. For parents the app also has a baby bottle temperature built in to use. I then connected the Smart Life app to Google Home on my mobile so that I can use the voice activation with Google Assistant. It can also be used with Alexa and SIRI. Once complete I was able ask Google to boil the kettle, you can specify which temperature for Google to start boiling the kettle at. Very handy or lazy, ha ha depending on your viewpoint but for me if I am at my pc and want a drink as I often am I can now get the kettle going then when it is boiled I receive a notification via the app. Overall I am very impressed with the design and functionality of this kettle. It really is very good and I am going to very much enjoy using it.

Kettle side of things is good - looks ok, doesn’t leak, boils quickly, button press lid opening feels sturdy. The big temp scale buttons are a bit much and make the kettle look a bit.. simple? A centralised digital display would have been much more stylish in my opinion. From a connectivity side, it paired with Alexa really easily and works consistently when asking Alexa to turn the kettle on. The app is also fairly straight forward - simple, but works well. So far had no issues with it not working. Downsides - the noise when the kettle has boiled is SUPER quiet. You get a tiny single beep and that’s it. Someone so much as breaths heavy at the same time and you won’t know it’s finished the boil. You also have no idea what temperature the water is if you’ve missed the boil or gone away and come back later - a digital thermostat display would have been a nice touch and saved unnecessary reboils. Finally, the kettle has no scale built in, so no way of knowing the water level. If you have a schedule set for the morning, or ask Alexa to turn it on without checking, this thing will dry boil which doesn’t do them any good and will eventually likely break the kettle. I originally owned the app-kettle which had all of those things and was a fantastic kettle. It did have some odd issues with reliability around connectivity, which this so far has not. The Alexa support stopped on the app kettle so this is currently the next best smart kettle on the market I can find, but it is settling on functionally and I’d love to see advancements to bring it in line with top tier! The application support and stability of this kettle with extra functionality mentioned would be perfect!

Wanted a kettle that Alexa could switch on & off, needed to pair with Tuya app for Alexa to work. Honestly this kettle was the best one out of a few that i looked at, its probably the dearest in price but its performance makes it worthwhile, its from the UK so had to use a power socket adapter. Was easy to connect to wifi in Tuya app, easy to use via mobile with adjustable temp settings, keep warm & timer settings. Theres only one downfall it sends notifications via the app every time kettle turns on & off and the only setting to stop this stops all notifications from app. But i can put up with that. So far im very impressed with this weekett wifi kettle.

The item came perfectly packaged and unboxing was simple. Setup was a breeze using the Smart Life app and linking it to my google home was just as easy. The kettle is well constructed and a good additon to my kitchen counter. It heats water quickly and the temperature appears to be accurate. I would whole heartedly recommend this product to any who wants a smart kettle that's easy to use.

Very good product

Not a very smart kettle at all. Was disappointing to learn there are only four preset temperatures possible, none of which is 95 degrees the most common temperature used for brewing coffee with a variety of methods such as Chemex, V60 or Aeropress. The lid does not open full either which makes filling from a water filter jug more of an ordeal than it needs to be.
