WOW! Hot Spark Up to 1.5".
I have not measured the output voltage yet, but I estimate, that compared to my other known devices, these put out a solid 50,000 volts at 6 volts supply voltage drawing 1.6 amps. They start to work weakly at 1.5 volts, and function just fine at 3 volts. I never went over six volts as I was not properly set up for the higher voltages. It is a hot spark too. These mean business!! Don't give these to your kids without planning on some adult supervision. I'm ordering a couple more!!

Works great. Actual output far less than 1000 kV
Works well. It will produce a loud white spark at a maximum distance of 12 mm when connected directly to two AA batteries (3 volts). Coronal discharge is visible out to about 60mm. Definitely not capable of 1000 kV. It gave about 30 kV with 3 volt input, so assuming input scales linearly to the output, it could only reach a max voltage of 120 kV. The price is definitely a good deal, just be safe and know to handle high voltage.

Just DON'T
Don't believe any of the specifications: Not 400,000 or 1000kV or 6 Volts input Don't apply more than 3.7 Volts ( 1 LiPO battery ) Don't run for more than a few seconds without a cool-down Don't expect long service life as a Jacobs's ladder or as an ignitor Don't run open circuit or short circuit on the HV side: a 3/8 inch gap is reasonable Don't think that you can't hurt yourself or someone else ... or start a fire or fry nearby electronics. On a laboratory power supply, this drew almost 3 Amperes at regulated 3 V supply, 3.8 Amperes at 3.7 Volts. It will not survive more than a few seconds at the suggested 6 Volts. A single LiPO cell at slightly more than 3.7 Volts will produce a satisfactory arc of over a half inch with noticeable heating of the device at fifteen seconds run time. If you do some research, you will find that: A 400,000‑volt (400 kV) source can produce an electrical arc in air roughly on the order of 1–2 meters under typical laboratory conditions. That is the truth. This device specification is total fantasy, sucker ! For a 3/4 inch (0.75 in ≈ 19 mm) air gap, you typically need on the order of 50–60 kV to reliably strike an arc under normal lab conditions (dry air, room temperature, atmospheric pressure). This is what your device might produce. This toy SHOULD be described as 50 KV from 3.7 Volts input. That in itself is pretty awesome and might be a reason to buy this very inexpensive device Over heating or overvoltage will produce classic smelly white smoke and blistering of the epoxy encasement material. The power supply wires from a hefty battery might light up the flimsy power wires of the device resulting in more smoke and blackened plastic. At two for $ 6.99, either way it is good entertainment. Run it at 3.7 Volts for very short times into a half-inch arc - WOW ! or overvolt it and take pictures of the result .. telling a sad little story ... but don't bad mouth the device if it can't do the impossible. So, FOUR STARS for value, function, entertainment. Lost one star for making YOU believe something that you really know ain't possible. Does that deserve a thumbs-up ?

Made a tazer with it, definitely did tazer stuff, I also made an emp, and it fried a old camera

Its so bad I would consider it a scam
Trash, absolute trash, don't buy it, they both lasted less than 30 seconds (yes I was driving them with the appropriate voltage)

excellenty made hand crafted mini power transformers
Mini transformers 1million volts of electricity each kilovolt is equivalent to 1000 volts times 1000 is 1,000,000 volts of electrical concurrent energy satisfactory guranteed perfect for my diy hobbies and engineer crafts thanks guys will be back to purchase in bulk amounts

Fun.
Ive used these generators with 12v 60watt batteries to eliminate hornet nests. They work very well in short bursts.

not satisfied
Works great with 6volts, 1 second with 12 volts, fried. I'll only run 6v on the next.
