Revolutionary headphones that changed how I experience music and workouts!
These SHOKZ OpenMove bone conduction headphones have been absolutely game-changing for my active lifestyle and completely solved my biggest audio frustrations - the quality is outstanding with innovative bone conduction technology that delivers surprisingly rich, clear sound while allowing me to stay completely aware of my surroundings for safety during outdoor runs, cycling, and gym workouts. The functionality is incredible as the open-ear design means I can listen to music, podcasts, or take calls without blocking ambient sound, which has been perfect for staying alert to traffic, fellow runners, or gym conversations, and I love how comfortable they feel during long workouts without any ear canal pressure or that sweaty, plugged-up feeling I always hated with traditional earbuds. They look great with a sleek, modern design that doesn't scream "fitness gear" so I can wear them comfortably in professional settings for calls or casual listening, and the secure fit means they never slip or fall off even during the most intense workout sessions or outdoor adventures. At this price point, it's amazing value for cutting-edge technology that has genuinely improved both my safety and enjoyment during physical activities - these headphones have eliminated the constant dilemma of choosing between good audio and situational awareness, and the Bluetooth connectivity is rock-solid with impressive battery life that gets me through multiple long runs without needing to recharge, making this one of the smartest fitness investments I've made for combining my love of music with my commitment to safe, enjoyable exercise.

Comfort good quality and sold sound
Well worth the price, for those who don’t like to ware ear buds. The head set speakers rest in front of your ears. You’re still able to hear people speaking to you if the volume is not maxed. I find the sound quality clear, no crackling sounds. Control buttons are easy to use. I use them a lot at work. They’re light weight and comfortable to wear. Fully charged battery I have gotten about 8hrs before the headset tells you to “charge me”. I will defiantly buy Shokz again.

Great hearing quality and comfort
The comfort is as close to top quality as possible. They work well. Seem to hold power well. Worth the cost!

A bit awkward, but overall good device
I've been a fan of this brand for a while. It was honestly a godsend for me, as I can't wear inner earbuds. My ear canals are too small for even the smallest ones I've found. I don't like carrying around big over the ear headphones and the outer earbuds are kind of becoming a thing of the past, particularly after phones started dropping the audio jack. I got one of the mid-priced ones they had and they lasted me a good long while - they still work, but they finally broke in a way that I can't really repair without impacting the device's ability to rest on my temporal bones. For reference, I got these before the company rebranded themselves from Aftershokz to simply Shokz, which I think happened about 5 years ago. These likely would have lasted longer, except that I'm admittedly a bit rough on my electronics. These are a marked change from the earlier unit, which was smooth silicone and plastic. I chose these for the price point, but also because I thought the metal might make them harder to break. I'll have to wait a bit to weigh in on that one, as the older pair I had took years to finally start breaking down. Others have mentioned that these are a bit awkward on the head compared to the ones in the higher priced tiers. I have to agree on that. While I do think I'm getting a more durable unit, the headset is a bit more awkwardly placed than the other models. At times it sort of battles for space with my eyeglasses, but not in a way that I'd find a deal breaker. It's just a bit of a transition period, although if you are very sensitive to things like that I recommend going for one of the slimmer units. As far as sound goes, these are nice. I can tell that they've worked on the sound quality since their earlier units, as it's a bit crisper and clearer than my other set. I do get the impression that the higher dollar sets might be a bit better, but I think that's more because it might sit on the temporal bone a bit more smoothly than these might on my head. Other than that, I am pretty happy that the headset can be charged with a type C USB cord. This makes it easier to charge these any time, any where. These have a decent amount of charge time so I'm not particularly worried about this running out all of a sudden, but it is good to have. These do hold less of a charge than the mid-tier units, so keep that in mind. If you're someone who often goes long periods without charging things or can spend 10+hours using your headphones, you'll definitely want to go with the next tier up. Still, for my purposes these are fine. Another user mentioned some ear soreness - I haven't experienced that so far. I think part of this is because I'm kind of used to this via my eyeglasses and prior set - but I think that this will vary by person in general. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with these. I will admit that I liked the mid-tier type headset more as far as charge time and comfort goes, but this gets the job done and meets my needs. It also feels slightly more durable, but time will only tell with that. I might eventually replace these with a mid-tier when they wear out, but if they're anything like my old headset it's going to be a while and it'll go out kicking and screaming. Highly recommend.

Sound great, easy to use
These headphones are great for consumers who are active and are looking for headphones that don’t impede their ability to hear their surroundings. The Shokz hang snugly over the ears but not in them and works through bone conduction which works perfectly. This means that there is nothing going into, or over the ears muffling the ambient noises from around like traditional headphones that must be pulled out or off to the side from them to listen. For outdoor users this means a great deal to their safety being able to hear other people coming up to them whether it be runners, bicyclists, or more importantly motor vehicles. The sound quality from the Shokz is amazingly clear and it comes preprogrammed with different EQ settings like standard mode, or vocal booster mode that are easy to toggle through with a touch of a button. These Shokz are also sweatproof, so damage from that should not be a worry. If for whatever reason they do end up being damaged, they are covered by a two-year warranty by the manufacturer to give some added peace of mind. Their customer service department is amazingly easy to reach out to and get help with whether it be troubleshooting an issue or claiming a damaged product online. They reach out promptly and professionally. These headphones will not disappoint consumers looking to being safe outside while enjoying some great tunes and playlists. For those hesitant on the price point keep an eye out for sales. They happen multiple times a year and get down as low as fifty dollars for a new set.

Clear sound
We purchased three of these. They work great. My wife is a little hard of hearing and we used regular head phones while watching TV. She tried there a the headphones were put aside. She says the sound is much clearer. It must be the bone conduction feature. The only complaint is that the band sticks about the back of your head forcing you to wear it in different configurations if you want to lean your head back against a head rest. It has never failed to PAIR or CONNECT. excellent product. Be careful shopping around. The cheap ones are just a speaker. One really good feature, we can still talk and hear each other while using them !

An honest review. Understanding what you are looking at is key.
These do exactly what I needed them to do. It allows me to hear my surroundings when I'm walking/running/biking and listening to audiobooks / music. It's not going to have great sound quality because it's BONE CONDUCTION, this means sound comes to your eardrums and the inner ear via vibrations traveling through your skull. It's not going to be Bose' quality sound and your Nickelback playlist will sound even worse. But this leaves your ear canal open to receive ambient sound (that is sound around you not coming from the headphones) so you can still hear that creepy guy coming up from behind you. This also means that your music may get drowned out by loud ambient noises, like passing by a lawnmower or loud vehicles. So don't think they will work where it's noisy. My phone uses the same cable so I can alway charge my earphones. The stiff cord connecting both sides fits loosely around the back of your head. So you will not be able to lay down on your back, it will push the speaker pads off of your cranium (skull) and you won't hear your sound. It uses a very simple one button to control your music. 1 push start/stop, 2 pushes jumps forward, 3 pushes rewinds, 4 pushes.....don't, just don't press the button 4 times. Summary: -Plenty loud and good, clear, sound quality (understand what this technology is) -Supper easy operation with one button. -You can take calls, so long as it's not too windy -Easy to charge with USB-C cord. (Very common charging cord) -Good battery life (+7 hrs @ medium volume) -Connects just fine. (Learn to use your device) -You can listen to books/music and still hear your surroundings I love mine!

Comparing Shokz and Rythflo
I really wanted to like these. I bought them after having some issues with my Rythflo bone conduction headphones that were the same price but had some extra features. The bottom line is that I'm not keeping either of them. - Sound quality: The Rythflo has better sound quality - it's quite clear and not tinny. The Shokz sound quality is tinnier and more buzzy. - Volume: The Rythflo volume is louder than Shokz but not loud enough for me to understand my podcast while commuting on the Metro. Otherwise, it is okay. Maybe it would be better if I used the included earplugs, though that seems to defeat the purpose of this headphone style. Shokz is much buzzier at a high volume. Not sure how it would hold up in the Metro because I didnt wear it for that commute, but I don't foresee it being better. - Microphone: Rythflo has a clearer microphone than Shokz according to the person at the other end, who said I was "very clear!" when in a quiet environment. But it seemed to pick up ambient noise and was extremely loud at the other end when there was an announcement or something around me (e.g., while commuting). So it works well in quiet environments, but not in busier ones. The Shokz microphone has a bit of an echo on the other end. I didn't get to try it in such a loud atmosphere. - Setup: Setup for both Rythflo and Shokz is extremely easy. - Case: Rythflo comes with a much nicer protective case (see photo). Shokz comes with a bag that provides little real protection. - Charging: Rythflo has its own proprietary charger which is magnetic and seem to work fine. Shokz uses a USB-C charger, which is more standard. - Buttons: Shokz wins this one with a cool integrated botton on the outside that is much easier to find than fiddling with the buttons on the Rythflo to answer a call or whatever. But I'm sure the Rythflo is manageable once you get used to it. - Fit: This was the killer. I don't know about your ears, but the sharp shape of Rythflo put pressure on the back of my ears that was quite painful after wearing them for a bit (see photo). Shokz, on the other hand, put pressure on my jaw hinge so when I talked while using them I got a very sharp headache. Not sure it it was also because the Shokz are very magnetic - does that cause headaches? But the Shokz were otherwise more comfortable for my ears. Neither of them can be worn well while lying down because of the back band. I gave both three stars and am returning both. Still on the hunt for great headphones.

Great headphones and customer service is top notch. 100% recommend
Bought a pair of these for my wife and they are very good quality build and great sound. I have always used inear buds ,but both my wife and I find they make your ears itchy after using them for a while. These are great and solve that issue.I needed to contact their customer service to ask a question and their customer service was excellent. After the first pair arrived for my wife. I tried them and ordered another pair for myself. It's great to be able to hear your surroundings and also listen to your music or podcasts. When you have the volume up full others can hear what your listening too, but that's the same for any earbuds also. For around the house or walking/cycling or when you on holiday and need to be aware of your surroundings these are excellent amazing to be honest. You will probably need your in ear noise cancelling earbuds for plane journeys etc , where it's very noisy, but havent tried these on a plane yet so can confirm that. But would 100 % recommend the Shokz OpenMove headphones.

This is truly a revolutionary product!
This is truly a revolutionary product. One of my best electronic gadget investments. It's amazing. I use it to listen to audiobooks and some YouTube videos. Occasionally music. My hearing is perfectly protected. I'm not sure how ardent music buffs would like it, but it sure suits my usage. Highly recommended. I switched from regular in-ear plugs because I began noticing some changes in my hearing. These are great.
