Good value, great tasting water!
I really love this water pitcher! The filtration is top-notch and the water tastes so fresh and clean! The filters are less expensive than comparable brands.

Nice pitcher, awful filter
This pitcher is durable and well designed. However, the filter takes AGES to filter the water and leaves a slight smell and taste. The filter is the type that reduces lead, but I personally prefer the regular type - they work just as well to reduce other impurities and leave water tasting fresh and clean. ALL Pur filters fit this pitcher, so you can choose your preference.

Damaged Amazon box
The product was not damaged but the Amazon box that it was packaged in had holes in the bottom of all 4 coroners. The product works okay so far.

Their best filters are one of the best, but the pitcher could be designed better
I subscribe to Consumer Labs that is an independent lab that tests various supplements, etc., and I wish I had read their review of water filter pitchers before I bought the Pur pitcher. From the study, both Pur’s and Brita’s best filters do about the same excellent job filtering lead, chlorine, etc. that most others do not, but the Brita Long Last filter (or now their Elite filter I guess) lasts for 120 gallons versus only 40 for the Pur, so on a per gallon basis Brita is significantly less expensive than Pur. Also, Brita had significantly less micro plastics in filtered water on initial filter use than Pur, which you need to fill and empty three times before the micro plastics are sufficiently reduced (this was verified in the lab’s test but is not included in Pur’s instructions, which is a significant oversight in my opinion). Last, I’m not sure how the lid is on the Brita pitcher, but the Pur’s lid doesn’t lock on and has to be held in place just to pour a glass of water or it falls off, which is just a poor design. Bottom line, if I was doing it over I’d probably go for Brita with their Long Last or Elite filter as it seems to be more cost effective and requires fewer filter changes. But that said, either the Brita or Pur with their best filters are superior to most everything else out there as most others don’t even remove lead among other things. So the Pur pitcher with their best filter is still excellent for effectively filtering water, which is the most important thing, but I’m subtracting a star for suboptimal pitcher design and because their best filters are less cost effective than Brita’s best but there are far worse options out there.

best pitcher filter in my opinion
This pitcher is easy to install with the Pur filters. The water is great and taste like water. Removes the tap water taste, depending on which filters you buy. Can remove many more contaminants from water like trihalomethane, lead and even plastic. I like the little light that comes on when you pour the water. It is more of a timer to remind you it is 60 days since the last filter change. It goes red in 2 months regardless of how much water you filter. That tells me it is a timer really. It doesn't seem to hold quite as much water as the first one I also still use. But does use the same filters. I think it is well worth the money I paid to insure I remove contaminants from the water.

Form over function
As the title says, this water pitcher is form over function. I "upgraded" from a very old Pur pitcher with the non plus filters. The current style looks nice but there are so many flaws it's not worth it. The new one does not hold that much water either in the pre-filter reservoir or in the post filter reservoir. You need to fill the pre-filter reservoir about three times before it will fully fill the bottom section. That wouldn't be so bad if it filtered faster. I would say it takes around thirty minutes to fully filter from the top reservoir to the bottom. I've never seen a water filter take that long. I thought maybe something was wrong with it but it seems to be functioning properly. It's just really really slow. This means you have to repeatedly check on it if you want to have a fully filled bottom reservoir. The worst case scenario is that you run out of filtered water and now you have to wait 30 minutes just to get another glass of water. Also, the design of the lid needs some work. If you have the top reservoir fully filled it is very easy to get water to spill out the top while moving it and spilling down the handle all over your hand and onto the floor. This new design requires you to fill the water through a small lid within the larger lid. They tell you not to get the filter light wet during washing. This is the easy enough to avoid when washing the lid because the mechanism is easily removed. It's a different story when you're filling up the pitcher because you'll inevitably get the filter sensor wet during fill up often enough. Buy something else. Trust me.

Arrived with broken lid
I used the PUR filter before on that tap in my old kitchen sink. I was always impressed with how well the water tasted. When I refrigerator water dispenser broke I was looking for a good pitcher to use temporarily until it got fixed. So when I saw this filter pitcher from PUR it was an obvious choice. The pitcher arrived today and I was very excited to get it all set up. I began soaking the filter for 15 minutes, washed the pitcher and the lid as I got ready to prime the filter before use. It was when I attached the lid that I noticed that water inlet lid appeared loose. Upon closer inspection I saw that the pins were not in the in the groove. No matter what I tried, the lid kept coming off because the plastic pins were too short to catch into the hole. I was so disappointed in the poor quality, workmanship and design of a well known product. I reached out for an exchange and will update this review when I get the replacement and fully test it out. But for now this is only worth three stars.

Clogs after 7-10 days - Doesn't work as Advertised
For a few days the Pur Plus filter that came with the pitcher drained the 4-cup tray in 20 minutes. The drain time got longer every day until after 7-10 days it took 4-5 hours to drain the tray. I closely followed online instructions to de-clog the filter (turn upside down, shake vigorously until granules move freely, rinse drain ports for 30 sec cold then 30 sec warm). This reduced drain time to 3-4 hours for one day, then it was back to 6 hours. I call Pur and they sent another filter no charge : ) But the same thing happened. I've seen many similar complaints online. Pur should should stop selling this product that doesn't work as advertised.

Wrong dimensions
In the set of photos given the dimensions for this pitcher are given but are actually for the pitcher that is the next size up. It gives the capacity in cups as well so I should have measured that instead but I measured my broken pitcher that this one was to replace and it was the same.

Filter stopped filtering after 10-15 uses
Water is barely dripping through the filter after 10-15 uses. Have followed all the steps suggested in the FAQ of the manufacturer to no avail. Waste of money.

Check your returns!
Received this and it had obviously already been returned by someone else. The water filter package was already open and the filter was soaking wet. Pretty bad!
