17mm Flange Inserts

I have an Elvie Stride and a Medela Freestyle Flex and the flanges that came with them were too large. Because the flanges were too large my nipple would enlarge to the size of the flange and that left me with very sore nipples. The flanges for the Elvie are $29.99 and the smaller size Medela flanges are $18 I believe. I didn’t want to have to buy two different sets so I purchased these and they fit both my flanges just fine. The material is more rigid than I thought it would be. I’ve used them a few times on both pumps and they are more comfortable. Although I’ve read that proper fitting flanges give you a better output, I haven’t noticed an increase in volume of milk pumped. When using the Medela flanges it blocks out my view of the milk coming out, which is slightly inconvenient because I get clogged ducts so when I pump I try and massage the breast to see if I can help the let down and it’s hard when I can’t see if milk is coming out. That’s the only issue I’ve had with them.

These flange inserts are amazing. I did not want to have to purchase entirely new pump parts for smaller flanges. I have 2 different pumps and these fit in both perfectly. I really believe that they have helped my milk production increase, which I desperately needed. I will make sure I have these on hand during the rest of my pumping journey and do not plan to pump at all without them

I absolutely LOVE these inserts. I have the Elvie original (double pump) and recently received the Elvie Stride pump from my last pregnancy. I measure on the smaller side, so in the past I had to buy a 21mm flange. I never realized I was still using a size bigger than I needed for optimal output. In the past I used BeauGen cushions for my double pump, but they need to be folded or cut to fit and easily wear over a short time. These inserts fit perfectly in both pump flanges without needing any modifications or purchasing of additional flanges. (Note: these only fit in the 24mm flanges that come with the pump). They are sturdy, simple to insert/remove, easy to clean, and make my heart happy with the matching accessory colors! I highly recommend getting an accurate measurement a few minutes after nursing/pumping to determine which size is best. I assumed I’d be a 19mm initially, but after they came in I saw they were still too big. I used a circle stencil to get my exact size (13-14mm) & added 3-4mm to find my inserts (17mm fit well for me). If you measure on the smaller side, I highly recommend these for your breastfeeding journey. You won’t regret it!

I wish I’d known about sizing earlier in my breast feeding/pumping journey. But I discovered that towards the very END. Pumping was painful until I purchased these inserts and they were great! I used them for my Elvie and my Spectra. It was a million times more comfortable, and I felt like I pumped more- I didn’t pump much anyways, but probably because they didn’t FIT me before these!

Fits into the spectra s1 but I have been having leaky issues with it, for some reason, it causes the flange to not suction properly for me although the item fits into the flange perfectly. There’s nothing I can do to fix it but I have another insert I use which doesn’t cause this issue.

At first these worked really well. They stayed securely in and seemed like I was getting more milk out. After a couple weeks though they seemed to not be fitting as securely.

I love these inserts , I use them everyday with my eufy s1 pro , they work great for my elastic nips !

Bought these to go down a flange size for my OG Elvie. They fit great and feel much better than a hard plastic. I was also able to use them to out into my medela pump and my medela hand pump. They are very versatile for multiple pumps. This was a much cheaper option to help find my correct size than buying the Elvie flange. It is another piece to clean with your pumping parts, but either way you have lots of part to clean so adding these small flanges were nothing!

Annoying they can’t go in the dishwasher

It will probably get the job done with some pumps, but didn't work well with my Elvie pumps. It has to be adjusted and cut on some parts and still didn't pump too well.
