One of the pins on the brush is missing. Is this a defect or intentional hole? I bought two of them and both missing a pin in the same place.

In the bottom middle of the brush there is one small hole where it looks like a missing pin should go. It is supposed to be there. I believe it acts as an air vent. Both my brushes have it. One purchased from Amazon and one from an Aveda Salon.

Is it heavy to use? I am older and find it difficult to hold heavier items in my hand for very long.

It is not heavy and the handle is very comfortable to hold. My hairdresser uses this brush all day long.
