FootJoy Golf RainGrip Gloves (1 Pair)

I bought these pair of gloves about two years ago and have been reluctant to use them. I always had my leather glove dry and covered because I was skeptical about how good these gloves could really work when it was raining. However, this past week we got caught in some pretty moderate rain showers at the turn. I decided to give them a whirl because I forgot to take my leather glove off. I’m so glad I put them on. First off they fit perfectly for my hands. However, it felt weird wearing two gloves and noticing the material was suede-like? They were also thicker and seemed to absorb water pretty quickly. Then I took a swing with my driver and noticed the club DID NOT SLIP AT ALL. As the round went down, I hit iron shots, chip shots and even putts with these gloves on. It was strange to wear gloves the whole round, but even after faster swings in the rough, this gloves gripped the club so well, I never took them off. I actually learned that most people keep them on the whole round and it’s perfectly normal to do so, ha! I don’t blame them. You DO NOT have to grip the club hard with these, you CAN maintain light grip pressure and still have no noticeable slip from them. I was actually shocked because with my leather glove, even with more grip pressure, I could literally feel the club twist. These gloves are super versatile and surprisingly kept my hands warm for the whole round! Yeah, they are a little pricier than just getting a replacement leather glove for half the price, but these are worth every penny. No club slip at all, did I mention that? Also, something I noticed was every time I gripped the club, the grip got SOAKED. However, the grip literally did NOT slip at all. Practice swings, full swings, chips, the lot. Seriously, if you are looking for a QUALITY pair of rain gloves for those rainy rounds, take the leap. GET THESE GLOVES. I don’t normally write reviews but I needed to share my experience because I kept the same ball I started with the entire round. Plenty of opportunities for my drives to go OB or even in the lake, but they didn’t and I feel like these gloves had something to do with it. Maybe it’s luck, or superstition, but anyway. Here’s my review, hopefully you’ll get these gloves!

Funny story, one day when we played it had rained briefly. The course called us back in for 15-20 minutes but we were able to return. We were on a par 3 and I went up to hit my tee shot. Mind you, I had regular gloves on. I get set up and give it a good whack. Club slipped out of my hand, went literally 50 feet in the air and dropped on the other side of the fence to my left. it was then that I decided I need some rain gloves... I’ve been really impressed with how well these gloves perform in wet conditions. I’ve used them a few times now in light to moderate rain and the grip has held up better than I expected. I had essentially no slippage. What surprised me most is how useful they are even on very hot days. When I’m sweating a lot, these gloves actually handle the moisture better than a standard golf glove and keep the grip feeling secure. Overall, they’ve exceeded my expectations. They work well in rain as well as on hot and humid days where you're sweating profusely.

These are great for rain weather and do the job. They're much less grippy than my normal golf glove, but that's the only issue.

Best gloves for sweaty hands and rain. Very durable as well. Have one pair that are over two years old with worn thumbs and forefingers but make a good pair of practice gloves. During warm & hot humid days the left glove is used, current glove over a year old with at least 5 or 6 rounds a month.

I tried these on and swung my clubs a few times when I first got them, and they did not seem like anything revolutionary. They just felt like normal golf gloves to me, perhaps with even a little less grip than my normal glove. Nonetheless, my curiosity was piqued, and I found myself, for the first time in my life, hoping for a round in the rain. Fortunately, because our golf league is on Thursdays, it rains every Thursday here. (Speaking of which, if you are currently facing severe drought in your area of the country, we can temporarily move our league to you for a small fee and guarantee rain.) Anyway, when it inevitably started to sprinkle during our next league round, I excitedly pulled these out of my bag. Honestly, though, on my first tee shot, I was a little disappointed. They felt exactly like they did when I tried them at home. Turns out this was my mistake. These are rain gloves, and I had been taking extra care to keep my hands and my grips dry. As soon as the rain started to come down a little harder, and my gloves actually got wet, though, these things turned to Stickum! Seriously, they somehow grip better in the rain than my normal glove grips in the sun. As I was marveling at my magical new gloves, one of the players on the opposing team noticed and said, "Oh, you have those too?" As I looked at his hands to see he was wearing these same gloves, he continued, "Yeah man, best rain gloves ever." Well, I couldn't agree more. I highly recommend keeping a pair of these in your bag, even if you don't have a Thursday rain league.

I’ve played golf for forty years and have never broken down to buy a pair of rain gloves. Had a 8 friend golf trip to Pinehurst this last week, so I ordered these just in case we got stuck playing in some rain. It didn’t rain for the three days I was there, but one of the guys I golf with was warming up on the range next to me and was complaint about how sweaty his hands would get during a round and how he would have to rotate between a couple sets of gloves. He played with two gloves all the time too. So I pulled these out and told him to try them out and see how he liked them, telling him they were supposed to help with sweaty hands, not just rain. He hit a few balls with them on, and said they felt great! Lightweight, breathable, comfortable. He asked to use them, and since he was not on my best ball team that day I promptly offered to sell them to him for $150, which he declined. They sold them at the clubhouse, so he got some there…lol Based on how much he liked them I put them in and hit a few balls. Loved them. I decided to play the round with them, and loved playing with them. Not sure how durable they will be, but they probably will last just as long as a leather glove for me, because I cannot stand a leather glove when it gets worn or stiff from perspiration. I will play my next few rounds with these gloves and see, but I will be surprised if I play in anything else from here on out.
