Burnt on carbon.
This stuff really worked for me. Used it on gas burner grates, worked great. I used it on an old aluminum pizza pan. Big mistake. Not intended to be use on aluminum.

Original cord for smoker, not high temp, as pictured.
My Big Chief smoker cord melted on the end attached to the heating element, having a rubber molded female socket. The cord received was exactly the same construction. The pictured item at Amazon showed the female end that was held together with three screws, being made of a hard material, possibly heat resistant. I'm sure that the one sent to me will last for some time to come but will melt as did the one I already had. I was hoping for something a bit better as shown in the picture of the product being sold.

if you don't have the #4 element and are using the #6 you will need the adapter
this will work perfect if you still have your old #4 element, if not and all you can get is the #6 with the wires, you'll need to call and ask for the adapter. I sent a couple pics of the adapter but you still have to figure out how you want to make it fir into your smoker

Ya know when you have spent an entire 24 hours prepping your smoked salmon. Thawing it out, trimming the nasty off, making the brine, soaking it in the brine, letting it air dry for 4 hours (to get that shine!), basting it with maple syrup/soysauce, soaking the wood chips (apple/alder)?? And then... you go to plug the smoker in and NO PLUG! You find everything else, pans, racks... NO PLUG! And no one it town has them in stock, because every other Alaskan is smoking last years fish!! Yep. That was me. So I used my Traeger. Nope. Not good. I ordered an extra plug.. just in case. Big Chief FTW!
