The Sirtfood Diet

Note that the core message of polyphenols is sound and I have found this approach to eating to work well for me, don't let the negative review sour you on the field of research. What this review does reflect however is that the meaningful content of this particular book could be distilled into 30 pages while the remainder is at best filler and at worst hyperbole. On top of this dearth of meaningful content, I have never held a book that felt so physically low quality as the paperback copy of The Sirtfood Diet. This must have been sourced from quite literally the lowest cost printing house possible, your average newspaper has higher quality paper than what was used here. Given that this is priced higher than many other hardcover nutrition books with 10x the content, I'm extremely disappointed with the purchase. Pickup any other the other balanced books on Keto that you see highly reviewed and you'll get the same intro to polyphenols plus much more.

A lot of information is contained in this book. I tried to follow the plan but after purchasing a the necessary ingredients unfortunately I could not make it past he third day

If you’re a Vegetarian or follow the Ornish diet then you already know 90% of the Sirt Diet. This book is helpful to those individuals who want to expand on what they already know. Missing from the Kindle Version are all the photographs of the sample meals which would have been nice to have.

Lots of detailed information on why the sirt diet works plus case studies of positive examples. Enough recipes--salads, smoothies to get started.

I thought this diet would be harder to follow than it is. The beginning of making the juices is definitely time consuming so I make a large batch that will last about 2-3 days at a time and it helps make it easier to do. It took me a little bit to get used to the juicer as it isn't the same as a blender for ease of operation. I was also thinking the taste would be horrible, but it is actually pretty good tasting juice.
