I am thrilled with my purchase of these non-skid carpet stair treads. They are well-made and look beautiful on my cherry hardwood stairs. I ordered these based on all of the positive reviews, and I was not disappointed. I only wish I had known of these eight years ago when I had new steps put in and had a rug company place their treads on my new stairs. They had glued and stapled the carpet treads onto the wood. The treads needed replacing and I had quite a job taking the original ones off. There were roughly 30 staples on each carpet tread! These treads were a breeze to put down. I made two templates for each side to help center the tread on each step. I had the templates marked to know where I wanted the front to be located on the step. It took less than an hour to place 12 treads on my split level stairway. The carpet is soft and cushioned with nice edging all around. They are definitely slip resistant as I tried several times to move one with both feet…they did not budge. These carpet treads look so much better than what I had there. I am so pleased with this purchase and the end result of my little home project.

These stair treads are awesome! My dog is finally able to navigate the wood steps with confidence. They are very easy to install and stay in place. They are also easy to remove and replace if needed without damaging the floor. I have medium grey, which is a cool tone almost bluish grey. My sister has light brown which looks similar but is a warm tone greige. Hope this helps if you are deciding between the two colors.

These fit perfect on my steps and it doesn't move and stays flat. It is sturdy and soft to the touch. I like the fact that you can remove it to clean and replace it and it still lays flat and stays in place.

I had my doubts when I first ordered these, but let me tell you, I would rate these as 10 stars! When I had my carpet removed, the wood stairs seemed easier to slip on, so I gave these a try. They look great and are super easy to apply. My old 105 pound pitbull and other2 dogs are able to climb the stairs easily. I don't know what kind of magic holds them so securely, but I love that I can take them on and off with no sticky residue, and even throw them in the washing machine! Wow!

I obsessed about how to keep our senior dog from slipping once I replaced carpeting with LVP flooring. It's now been 3 months and I am very satisfied with these treads. The design blends with the flooring & treads are the perfect fit. Also lightweight. I was skeptical about the backing and how it would keep the treads from sliding (it does not feel sticky at all) - but it does work! Initially, I added double-sided tape to some of the stairs as a test. However, no difference observed between taped vs no-tape treads and adherence to the steps. If you have a busy household and prefer to add a few strips of tape for reassurance, that's an option though. Corners of treads have also stayed down. Some reviewers complained about removing the film from the tread backing. However, if you're prepared to be patient, it really isn't difficult. A few tips........ The back of each tread has two horizontal pieces of film that are attached to the tread stitching on three sides. The fourth side goes down the middle and is unattached. The secret is to start in middle (per the big markings). Take a scissors & cut each horizontal strip of film in half (goal is to go from 2 long pieces to 4 shorter pieces of film). This simply makes it easier to handle the film. Then take each quarter and slowly tear film off by following the edge of the tread (see photos). Pull film TOWARD the stitching as you tear, not away from it. When you get to a corner, bend the corner a little for better angle/traction while pulling film. For a few spots where I didn't get a clean tear, a razor knife worked well. Treads are easy to re-position. I don't plan on washing them, but have vacuumed and they stay in place. One star deducted due to creases from being folded, not rolled for shipping. However, they have smoothed out since delivery. Not sure about durability. They look good for now, but may wear over time. In that case, I'd just replace faded ones as price is reasonable. I bought a matching mat for the landing, and two smaller mats for at the top and bottom of the stairs as well. Needed new stair carpets. These are a beautiful shade of navy. Easy to install and has a good amount of sticky backing. Quality is very good, you feel it on your bare feet.

These look great, nice color, easy to install and best part is they offer safety for myself and my older dog. I’ve repositioned them once, placing them about 1/4” from edge of the stairs since my dog tends to step down near the edge and the stick on backing didn’t leave any residue, didn’t mark the wood and didn’t loose any secure contact when repositioned with the wood stairs.

We actually bought these to use on the top of a bench seat to provide our pets with traction when they jumped up and down from the bench. They were perfect: we cut them to the size(s) we needed; they were very easy to apply, and importantly -- they stayed in place even with animals jumping on and off. (We would have no hesitation using on stairs as they were intended). In fact, we liked them enough that we bought a second set to have on-hand for anchoring items on an upper shelf. We have storage shelves and found that things would eventually shake loose with time, and needed traction. Once again, these were the perfect solution. I like that they come in subtle colors so they can disappear into the background if used in a higher visibility area. A++ purchase for us!

I re-stained the open plan hardwood stairs a lovely red cedar colour which according to my wife made them too dark. The stairs were uncarpeted before (another contentious point) so I bought the Homeer pads (and treads) to lighten the stairs. The difference is amazing. These 5 star reviews don't happen by accident as I did a lot of research before buying them and am pleased to report that they look great. Colour slip resistance, and thickness were excellent. Don't worry about getting the backing off it's dead easy using a hair drier to release the backing

Tal y como se anuncian. Amortiguan muy bien el sonido de los pasos en la escalera. Fáciles de colocar. El plástico trasero se rompe un poco al quitarlo, no viene mal pasarle un poco la punta de una tijera por le borde para que salga de una pieza. Con cuidado de no cortar la alfombra. El adhesivo me ha gustado mucho, no parece que vaya a dejar rastro (se verá con el tiempo), y me ha permitido corregir la posición muchas veces. Una vez puestas, no se mueven lo más mínimo. He cortado alguna esquina para hacer la curva, ahora a esperar que no se deshagan por la zona del corte. Una muy buena solución por un precio razonable.
