Tamiya 86002 Paint Spray, Red

Company been around long time they know what they are doing always good results but prep is 99% painting only that 1%.. been using Since 1990

Great looking red sticks to body well. Cans are small. I buy the DuraTrax 4.5oz in black and white to use as backers. The 100ml cans go quick. Get 2X if your doing a larger body. Other than that great quality.

If you are a modeler not using an airbrush, or like me painting something so small that it’s not worth the airbrushes being broken out, this is the perfect choice, not much needs to be said for the Tamiya brand, most everything these people make is top notch.

I really like Tamiya for hobby supplies, especially paints. This can I used to paint a lexan body for local VTA sedan racing. It looks great after three light coats. Highly recommend Tamiya!

Does what it’s supposed to. A must if you’re painting an rc body to go with this kind of paint. My only gripe has always been with how little you get in a can. This can should cover ONE, 1/10th scale rc car body. That’s it. I’ve always been frustrated how little you get out of these types of paint. With that said, be sure to evenly coat your rc body with each pass. Be sure not to focus on one area or you’ll run out of paint before you have solid coverage. I focused on getting multiple coats on my main body to make it as opaque as I could and ended up not having enough to paint my accessory piece - rear spoiler. It’s good paint, but for the price it’s always been frustrating how little paint comes in a can.

Product works as described, but this isn’t the place to get it. Shipping this item took two weeks. I could have walked to every hobby store in my state by the time this arrived. Hidden by sensitivity filter? Scam artists.

I've used several different versions of Tamiya model paint (in this case I was painting a clear polycarbonate RC car body) and have always been very happy with the finish results. I also like the spray consistency coming out of the spray cans (I've had issues with Testors model spray paints).
