I have 2016 ford f-150 v6 2.7 xlt 4x4. does my rear differential fluid take motorcraft 75w140 or 75w85?

75w85. If it is a traction lock (posi) differential you’ll also need to add the ford friction modifier as well. Jack up the rear of your truck and spin a tire by hand. If the tire on the other side rotates in the same direction it’s a traction lock setup. If it rotates opposite then it’s an open differential and no friction modifier is needed. Your best bet is to also get a pump to get the gear oil inside the differential. Amazing sells a nice one. It’s a one quart container with a red hand pump and has a clear vinyl tube attached to an aluminum insert at the end.
