Sannid CMB-320-LBR Mini Buddhist Altar, Light Brown, No. 15, Wood, Paulownia, Modern Furniture-Style Buddhist Altar, Hand Held

Bought this to make a shrine for my 13 year old cat after he passed away. It's just the right size and is well constructed. It was expensive but I have no regrets because it's a quality item, looks beautiful, and fits exactly how I hoped.

I've been wanting to get a small Japanese altar (butsudan) for my bedroom for awhile now. When I saw this butsudan being offered by J-Subculture at a reasonable price plus FREE shipping, I did further research and found that it fit my needs perfectly. I received it today (much earlier than the estimated delivery date), and am VERY HAPPY with it! It is EXACTLY what I wanted! It is made of kiri (paulownia) wood and the craftsmanship is great! I had also checked eBay and Etsy for a small butsudan...but none of them were what I was looking for. This one is PERFECT! Highly recommended!

This is basic budsadon with shelves that hold all the accessories for prayer meditation. The drawer is perfect for matches etc. There’s a shelf that extends if one needs more alter space. It fits perfectly on table and if one cares to drill holes for the wall hanging seems possible. Glad I found a suitable shrine for meditation focus.

The box functions well enough and is nice looking but is very small and comes in a box marked "Made in China" and seems standard mass produced chinese furniture quality from some Asian mahogany like material. Considering the small size and the fact that it's not single species solid wood (you can see the veneer but not sure if it's over wood or other) it seems over priced to me. I thought about returning it but it works for us so we decided to keep it.

I purchased this to replace an old termite eaten altar that was in my family for many years. Instead of shipping it from Hawaii I decided to buy a new one. This one had all the characteristics of the old one, including the shelf and drawer. I'm very happy with the construction and fit and finish. Although this was shipped from Japan to me on the East Coast, it arrived within a week, almost a month before the promised delivery date!

I might be using this wrong but I'm happy with this alter. It serves it's purpose and while it's simple it's made out of some nice wood. Not too luxurious but I think it's made with good materials. I added a battery powered touch lamp to the inner ceiling because it can get a bit dark in there. Very nice if you live in a place where these are hard to find.

今まで実家の仏壇すら拝んだ事ないのに配偶者に急死され悲しみと供養の気持ちで49日に間に合うよう購入しました。生前から「葬式に金をかけないで」とか贅沢を嫌う人だったので安くても良いかと小さな物を買いました。 小さくて軽くて今住んでる集合住宅にはちょうど良いです。今は小さな仏具も販売されていて別途購入しました。 今はこれで充分です。

チワワの骨つぼが二つ収まりお供え物も置けて丁度いいミニ仏壇でした。 素材はお値段相当でしょうか普通です。
