How does this compare to Elmer's Wood Filler in your experience?

To be honest, I prefer Elmer's because it is easier to work with. Gorilla works well but, it is a thick mixture that has to be pushed into all the cracks.

How does this compare to Kwik Wood?

Kwik wood is a putty, I believe. Gorilla glue is a thick liquid like Elmer's glue so it fills the wood cracks or gaps easier. Of course, this only my opinion.

Is it advisable to prime the wood filler before painting over it?

Priming is not required. Gorilla Wood Filler works with both latex and oil-based paints and stains. Multiple coats may be needed to ensure color match.
