SafeAMP Mouse Trap Chambers Refills Compatible with Victor Indoor Electronic Mouse Trap, 12-Pack

I love the Victor zap traps. These are nice, inexpensive replacements that make removing mice that either get crisped to the electrodes or maybe left a little too long in the trap easier. I wish there was a little space at the end, not too close to the holes on the non-trap side but a little mouse-step in from the inner electrode, for the bait. There's a tiny tray at the end, where one could put some grain or seeds, but the mice can reach or lick in from the end to get them the short way. I usually smear a tiny bit of nut butter on the side instead, but sometimes they can stretch around the baffles and get some of the bait without touching both electrodes. That grumble aside, any mouse charring seems to be because of how the Victor works, giving amps to kill the mouse for a couple seconds, and happens with their chambers, too. It happens, like with the original chambers, that the mice will be neatly zapped for a while, and simply dumped out, with minimal cleaning. Then after a bit, probably for mouse particulars, one will get charred to the electrodes, and the chamber needs to be replaced, as the mice don't seem to be as willing to use it after a fellow mouse has been charred, even though they don't seem to mind if another mouse has died within. It'd be nice if these were made from something a little less durable, since they're meant to be disposable. I get that compromises the purpose of being able to defend against mice circumventing the electrodes.

I was skeptical about this product given the bad reviews but we have had zero issues. I got a field mouse on the first night. It had been getting into our kitchen drawers and leaving gifts. Not anymore. We live in a rural area in a 150~ year old house. There is no blocking access to all manner of critters unfortunately. Our family cat died last year and we've been spotting mice more often than before. Every so often, one finds the kitchen and we have to pull out the murd*r traps. These cute little creatures carry deadly pathogens, so they've gotta go. Make sure you wait to hear the buzz after flipping the switch. If your unit doesn't buzz, you're not going to catch anything. These cartridges are more economical than the Victor replacement cartridges; however, they are significantly more difficult to remove. When I tried removing the SafeAMP cartridge (which contained a mouse), I was pulling so hard that my hand slipped and the batteries went flying. Thankfully I was able to remove the cartridge with a little more effort. Cartridges install easily, but my only attempt at removal left a lot to be desired. At least I didn’t have to lay eyes on the dearly departed; that is priceless!!

I already reviewed these mouse traps but these replacement cartridges are definitely worth it. I saw people reviewing the mouse traps complaining that after the first use they didn't work as well and that's because you're supposed to replace these cartridges. The purpose is to dispose of the cartridge with the dead mouse so that you don't have to see or touch the mouse. So you remove the cartridge from the mouse trap, throw the cartridge away and put in a new cartridge. They work great when you use them appropriately.

Firstly, this off brand product didn’t seem to fit well on the original Victor electric portion. Secondly, I used the original name brand chambers that came with the Victor traps and they worked fine, these ones, however, claim to work with the Victor electric portion, but they did not seem to shock the mouse, all I saw were mouse droppings around the trap. I want to stress with the original mouse kill chambers the Victor product came with, worked as intended but these replacements are not actually compatible with the Victor electric chamber and do not work. A waste of $20.

These things saved my LIFE!! I HATE MICE!!!! There was a field next to my house and the people did not keep the grass cut. When they finally cut the grass, all kind of critters came over to my house. I was about to move. I called an exterminator and that was a fail. The traps he put down the mice would go around and keep moving. I saw these traps on Amazon and after research I ordered several and the litte refill houses. I didn't want to see the mice dead so I would throw the whole thing away and put a new refill thing on and reload!! LOL. I caught about 6 or 7 before the word spread that I didn't play over here. Problem solved!!! I hate I didn't take pictures, but I was too scared!!

We toss them when "full". They always work as long as the batteries are working. No odor as we check them weekly for blinking light for a full trap or low battery. Highly recommended.

I did catch a mouse 🐁 but could not get the chamber to detach from the main part of the device to dispose. I watched 3 YouTube videos, called support and neither was much help. I threw the whole thing away and bought another trap. I bought extra chambers to avoid having to see the mouse or clean anything. Very frustrated that there is not complete instructions showing how to remove chamber. Support stated to use rubber gloves. Pffftttt. Side note caught varmint on first go round so the device works great it's just the end result. I don't want to be buying traps because I cannot detach chambers.
