Well built, easy to use and fast + a tip for better results
I bought the Jiffy Garment Steamer with the metal steam head and glad I did. The metal steam head helps to rid wrinkles better than plastic. I've had a plastic head steamer once before. This product is very well made and made in the USA. I like that. It helps if you have something like the Jiffy Steamer Steamboard so that you can press the clothing onto a hard cloth surface but they are fairly expensive. TIP: I have my ironing board hung on a door so what I do is use a hanger and hang my clothing in a way that it can be pressed against the hanging ironing board. It works quite well. Any steamer is not going to give the same results on cotton as an iron but it does a great job on blends, polyester, jersey, crepe etc and it does it quickly. It also heats up quickly. I emailed Jiffy with questions before I purchased and here are the answers to my questions: 1. Will the metal steam head ever rust? 2. What it is made of? 3. Is the metal head ok for delicate fabrics like silk? 4. If I use distilled water, will that prevent build up in the tank and head and would I still need a liquid cleaner? 5. Could I use CLR instead of your product to clean the tank? "The metal will not rust. It is aluminum and any moisture that comes through the head is hot and will evaporate. The metal works great on delicate fabrics. If you are steaming silk, you may want to consider putting a stocking/panty hose over the head to prevent and water droplets from getting on the fabric. Distilled water will help prolong the calcium build up put will not prevent it. You will definitely need to clean it at least once every 6 months with our cleaner. I have heard our technicians say there is something in CLR that can hurt the element so I wouldn’t use it. You may use white vinegar and water every 3 months for maintenance. This will help tremendously."

Great Little Steamer
This is my second garment steamer. Overall, I like it a lot. Time will tell if it is worth the high price. Looks: It actually looks better than I expected. I thought it looked ugly in the picture, which is partly why I didn't buy it before. I was pleasantly surprised when I took it out of the box though. It looks nicer than expected. Size: It has a smaller footprint than my old Steamfast steamer, so it takes up less space. Quality: The steamer seems to be sturdily built and so far I have not had any issues with water leaking out. Garment Pole: The pole included with the Jiffy is about a foot too short. I'm 5'7", so taller people will really have a problem with it. Luckily, I still had the pole from my old steamer, so I used it instead. It fit perfectly and now the pole is about a foot taller and seems about right. Strap: I wish it had a strap to help move it across the carpet. My old steamer had a strap that let me easily carry it. This one you either have to pull by the pole or bend down and push it. It's not a huge issue, but would be nice to have. Steam: Steam is steady and seems to be about the right amount. I didn't quite fill up the water container and have not needed to add more over two steaming sessions. Metal Head: I debated about this a lot before purchasing. My old steamer had a plastic head and worked fine, but I thought the metal head might work more like an iron. I decided to spend the extra money to try it. I don't think you could go wrong with either plastic or metal, but I do think the metal head works slightly better than my old plastic one did. The metal doesn't seem heavy to me either. I'm using only distilled water this time around hoping that this steamer will last a few years. If so, it will be worth the money. If not, I may switch to a cheaper steamer and plan on buying a new one every couple of years.

Save on Dry Cleaning
Perfect way to minimize dry cleaning visits and keeping my suits looking pressed. Requires an initial learning curve to adapt from traditional ironing but in the end very good. Hose is too short (I am 6'3") and often requires me to sit down on a stool to reach the right levels - and you will most certainly need an oven mitt. Takes a little adjustment to get the right positioning on how to manipulate the steam head against your clothes. But once you get past the initial change, you become appreciative of how much it expedites the whole ironing process. Also great on old hats, sheets and anything not requiring a crisp crease. Between my pants presser and this steamer I have managed to reduce my dry cleaning costs in half - paid for itself within the first month. Refilling is easy and it lives comfortably in the closet which makes rolling it out for a quick pressing a snap. Had problems with my first order from Amazon - the Warehouse sent the plastic steam head even though I ordered and paid for the metal head. They refused to honor the metal head price, and their remedy was to cancel that order and I ended up paying significantly more to get the ordered metal steam head; only not from the warehouse. Other reviewers have noted it is important to get the metal head - with the heat generated from this little machine, I agree it is much wiser to stick with metal. This was another warehouse mistake (seems to be all to common) and does not detract from the quality of the machine itself. Luckily, Amazon itself (not Amazon Warehouse) has always come through as an excellent resource. All in all, a very good product that is well made and functions as advertised. Recommend to anyone who wears dress clothes everyday and needs something to cut back on the weekly dry cleaning costs. Your clothing will appreciate the natural steam method and your wallet will benefit from the reduced overhead.

Amazing. Don’t waste your money on professional rowenta models. I’ve had two 1550W Professesional dreamers that broke after a year of daily use. Piece of crap. This Jiffy on the other hand is incredible. Think: Rowenta 1550 = A professional like Trump Jiffy = actually does what is intended and expected each and every time

This garment steamer heats up very quickly. It takes less than a minute for it to produce steam for me. However, I am not sure if the amount and type of water in the reservoir will have an impact. I use distilled water and I don't put too much water inside the reservoir because I don't want too much water sitting inside for too long. I decided to use distilled water to save time and money cleaning a clogged steamer. I chose the version with the metal steam head for better durability and results. In my opinion, a metal steam head will perform better than a plastic steam head because the metal steam head can serve as a hybrid iron. But I admit that it is just my opinion and I have no evidence to back it up. This steamer works very well with my cotton t-shirts and polo shirts. It only takes me around a minute to remove the wrinkles from a cotton t-shirt or polo shirt. It was not as effective with my linen shirts although it still does a decent job of removing wrinkles on linen. However, I don't blame the steamer because linen naturally wrinkles very easily. Using this steamer on a linen shirt removes enough wrinkles to make my linen shirts wearable. It takes me between one to two minutes to steam linen shirt so it's not bad. The hose gets a bit hot even if I am only using the steamer for less than five minutes. It is not hot enough to cause serious burns but I usually steam my clothes just before wearing them so I cannot speak for prolonged usage. The steamer comes with a pole as shown on the pictures on Amazon. That is where you can keep the steamer head when the steamer is not in use. It also doubles as a place where you can hang your clothes while steaming. This steamer is relatively light and does not take up too much space. It has wheels to increase its portability. Moreover, it comes with a wrench that you can use while assembling the steamer. I really like that the steamer has a magnet so it can be stored underneath the steamer. This is a very convenient storage option. The steamer is also very easy to assemble and comes with instructions. Jiffy offers various steamer heads for different purposes, making this steamer very versatile. Finally, I was able to register my steamer with Jiffy for warranty purposes even if I live in Canada. You can do it by sending an email to Jiffy's customer service team and they will register the product for you. You may visit Jiffy's website to see their updated contact details.
