MOES Tuya ZigBee and BLE Multi-Mode Smart Home Gateway WiFi Mesh Hub Work with Tuya ZigBee or BLE Smart Home Devices

I bought this gateway as part of a concerted push to switch away from using wifi and to use Zigbee devices where possible in my Home-Assistant setup. The gateway worked perfectly, it was recognised by HA and it was easy to further add devices from within the Smartlife app. Unless you have infinite financial resources, you will have spotted that whether you use Zigbee, Bluetooth or WiFi, Tuya is the most prolific, most inexpensive, and option only player in town making everything from waterleak sensors through smoke detectors to on/off sockets and light buls. The platform which is fronted by the 'Smartlife' app is incredibly easy to use Beware, however, you should appreciate before making a decision as the 'how to do things' front that the Zigbee2MQTT approach is not as scary as it first seems. After buying into, and appreciating, the Gateway box, I've now started to migrate to the Zigbee2MQTT route. Even with the Smartlife app, the benefits are outweighed by the simplicity delivered with the mqtt solution.

Good appliance but you need a gateway to use with this.

Works fine but found it restrictive in some ways and button presses to acheive certain functions was a little awkward (5 seconds hold for this and 10 seconds hold for that etc). Size was nice and small but connecting was sometime a pain.

Our zigbee switch was positioned behind large brewing pots and would not connect to the router. A long LAN cable with this hub solved the problem. Once the router was configured for 2.4g this hub “talked” to a mobile phone. Low cost c/w Hive and works well.

Not compatible with Sonoff TRV-ZB. Somewhat worryingly it also suggests using its own app not SmartLife in the instructions when the reason I wanted it was to use smart life logic in scene setting with other devices. Also it’s a micro USB power supply, not USB-C as is now standard in Europe. Returning.

Why did you choose this product over others?: does what it needs to do, just be aware it's much deeper than a normal switch and not quite the same dimensions as a normal UK one, but I needed one that would work without a neutral and this did the job connected to the hub straight away and was easy to configure

A great little tool which can be used in conjunction with others as a Gateway. The stability and Range of this device is really exceptional. It connects easily with other devices and has a broad compatibility. The value for money is good as it lets you use multiple devices.

Ich habe ein paar MOES Sensoren so wie auch Zigbee Geräte aus anderen Marken. In Vergangenheit arbeiten sie mit einander nicht zusammen und ich muss sie mit mehreren APPs konfigurieren und steuern. Jetzt ist alles einfacher: der hub bringt alle zusammen und ich kann sie unter einem Plattform steuern. Und was noch wichtiger ist, das Matter unterstützt völlig lokale, cloud-frei Protokoll, mit dem ärgert man sich nicht mehr über 1-2 Sekunden Wartezeit bis das Signal aus dem Server endlich zurück kommt. Außerdem ist das Gerät gut verarbeitet und besitzt ein schönes Design. Ich bin zufrieden!

Installatie was geen probleem
