Camper ladder
Doesn't seam like it would be sturdy but once installed it is very sturdy, at time I installed I weighed 350lbs and it's rated 250lbs and held me very well now I've lost alot of weight, so can't wait to try it out this summer.

Great ladder for the price
Great ladder for the price. Comes with everything you need to install it, Including ALL hardware to mount it. As it states it is Universal Fit, so it must be cut to length, and drilling is required to attach stand-offs. You need to know where the backing supports are in your RV, I got a blueprint from the Manufacturer of my Crusier RV,FunFinder. Measure twice, cut once. Install was easy, If you can use a tape measure, drill, and hacksaw, a little arithmetic and an extra pair of helping hands, the install should take 2-3 hours. Be sure to seal all mounts and screws. I am pleased with this product and roof access for maintainence is now easy. Cannot imagine why anyone would rate this product less than 4. Highly recommend.

Good Quality Ladder with a Challenging Installation
The ladder on my Jayco was damaged and needed replaced. This ladder came in an undamaged box and when unpacked seemed of very good quality. It used twice as many fasteners, of the same size as the factory ones, for the critical supports resulting in a very strong ladder if installed in good wood. However, the actual installation is challenging since the instruction sheet is pretty sketchy and brief. You'll need something to make sure it's square with the trailer (I leveled the trailer and then used a level on the ladder). Something to accurately drill the upright pieces for the standoffs (I used a small drill press) and something to accurately cut the ladder uprights as needed since, in my case, it was a bit too long for the trailer. What complicates the installation is that both the upper piece and the the lower piece have special ends. The upper piece has a necked down uprights that the roof handles bolt to and the lower piece has the curved ends that attach to the trailer above the bumper. So, you have to make your cuts somewhere in the middle which may result in some odd spaced rungs. I am happy with the finished installation; it's strong and looks good...though it does have an oddly spaced rung in the middle.

Best universal ladder!
Guys this ladder is just what I wanted!! Honestly for the money it's worth every penny, I bought this for my schoolbus conversion and at first I was very hesitant to buy because it is allot cheaper than it's competition the lovely thing about this ladder is that you can literally customize it for any vehicle it took me about 30mins to install, I have tested this ladder with many of my family and friends and it can definitely hold weight that's not a concern!

Not worth the headache
This item is not worth the cost for the amount of DIY and modifying you have to do to get it mounted. I had to buy a tube cutter to cut off inches (which is tricky) of one section.

Works great
I cut the bottom off and made a bracket that attaches to my back bumper for the ladder to attach to so my weight is carried by the bumper instead of solely by the wall of the camper. Other than* my modifications, the ladder itself is as expected. You don't want a 100 pound steel ladder weighing down the back of your camper so this is what's available on the market. It's very lightweight and not what you call sturdy...exactly what you want in an RV ladder. I suppose you could find a carbon fiber ladder that would be solid and sturdy and last forever. Of course it would still attach to a flimsy RV wall and would probably cost a million dollars so I went with this one. Works great. I'm 180#'s. Not 180 hashtags. That's the symbol for pound if you're not a millennial. Also, check my use of the word "than". It is used in the proper context. If you would have used the word "then" then please check into the proper use of the words then and than. It is becoming an epidemic people. Let's fix this social illiteracy!

Worked great for my 2000 Southwind
My car trailer tool box bent the bottom section of the ladder on my 2000 Southwind when I turned too sharply in a gas station. I was able to use the bottom section and elbows to connect to my existing top section. I used a copper pipe tube cutter to cut the top section to match the new bottom. Since the bottom section mounting bolts are easy to get to save the nightmare of trying to mount a whole new ladder. The ladder is now very sturdy making it easy to get on top of the RV.

Good product for the money. Its flexibility gave me what I needed
This is a good product for the money and the modular nature of the product gave me what I needed. First I should say that I did not mount mine like it is shown in the product photos. Because of where the roof support members are located on my rig (and because I HATED the thought of putting holes in my rubber roof) I decided to mount my unit to the back wall of my rig instead of having the top portion go up and onto the roof. (see photos attached). Installation was pretty simple. It took me about 4 hours but most of that time was spend figuring out how I could make what I had work with, work the way I wanted to since I was improvising. Thankfully the product is very modular and can be mounted in a number of ways based on how creative you are. Mounting to the roof is sturdier for sure since the roof picks up a lot of the load of you standing on the ladder. Since I wasn't doing it that way I had to come up with an alternative way of supporting the downward forces. I decided to mount the lower portion of the ladder on my back bumper to support the vast majority of the load. Then I used the 4 stand-off mounting posts (If they would have given me more than 4 support mounts I would have given this 5 stars) to secure to the back wall, making sure to hit studs behind the metal siding. There was some modification of parts but very easy to do. In the end I wound up with exactly what I was looking for with a modest investment of my time. Small disclaimer: I'm a contractor & mechanic so what I consider "easy modifications" and installation others might find more difficult. But basic tools and common sense goes far with this product.

but with some forethought it worked out great. The hardware is similar to the original
Product arrived quickly. I installed in on my full sized Citation Camper. (original had some damage, due to backing into something, before I bought it) As my camper is quite a bit smaller than a full sized motor home, I had to cut about 18 inches off. It is a little intimidating to cut the ladder, but with some forethought it worked out great. The hardware is similar to the original, with the ladder being slightly lighter in gauge. I installed the stand-offs in the original locations so, there was minimal hole filling. The instructions are not the greatest, but if you lay everything out beforehand, it will make sense. It doesn't feel like it should support a 200 pound man, but it does.. Would have given 5 stars if the instructions were more complete and easier to understand. Note: this product would be recommended for anyone with some intermediate tool sense. Not for beginners.

Product missing top handles
Product doesn't have top handles of Ladder and no instructions... Looks like someone cut off handles and returned item then it was sold to me. I left the package unopened until today when I was going to install it. To find parts missing.... Now I have a broken Ladder and an unusable replacement Ladder.
