Meh, I'm replacing this one with a better sling for $10 more
I got this a couple years ago and I never really liked it. I set it up on my M&P 10 and it is hard to set up and adjust properly, and the pad slides excessively during use. I'm a big fan of this style of 2 point sling, and I bought a blue force gear vickers sling for my ar-15. After using both side by side for one hunting season I've ordered another blue force gear sling to replace this one. Even with no padding the blue force sling is hands down more comfortable to operate and feels more substantial, it also keeps the gun in place better while tromping through the woods. My advice would be to skip this sling and spend an extra $10 on the Blue Force Gear Sling. That said, this sling didn't fail on me, or have any durability issues so if you're set on this one, you don't have to worry about whether it will last or not.

Its comfortable
I've always been a cheap sling buyer. As long as it didn't cut into me and had some stretch I was happy. I bought my first (expense for me) Troy sling a few years back for a heavy rifle i built. I found it to be very comfortable, easy to adjust and durable. I like that it has the ability to unclip if you need to separate the lower from the upper or just need to get the rifle off and you can't get the sling over other gear or theres not enough room. I'm slowly trading out my old slings for this model.

and it is amazing. Suits many carry styles
I've had this sling for over a year now. I use it to carry a AR platform style rifle around, when walking in deep forest, and it is amazing. Suits many carry styles, and the bungee helps with shoulder strain. If you intend to use this for actual combat, or paintball/airsoft, the quick extend strap is amazing for an across chest/pointing down style carry. Pull on that strap to silently and quickly get the slack to go into a forward(Weaver?) stance. I reccomend adding a quick disconnect swivel at the barrel/bungee side of the strap to allow for completely free movement in seconds if required.

Low quality bungee material
Installed this sling on my Sig 556, got it adjusted fine and practiced with it for about an hour last week and the bungee completely failed. The bungee has lost all elasticity and I never got to put it under any real stress or live fire, just practicing quick adjustment and recover. I had high expectations for this sling but I now feel that I justed wasted money. I should have went with the Blue Force Gear sling.

When strapped up to a good amount of tension the butt of the gun will ...
The bungee cord portion makes all the difference. I got it for my LR308B (oh and its heavy!) and it was just what the doctor ordered. When strapped up to a good amount of tension the butt of the gun will rest into your shoulder making it a very easy and quick to shoulder and fire the weapon. The quick release pull is great to quickly relieve tension, but be warned you got to do a little dance to square it back up to the snugness. Overall the quality in the materials and stitching is top notch, just spend a little while playing with the adjustments and you will love it.

Good two point sling.
The Troy two point sling is well made and is easily adjusted for a large or small framed person. I like that any excess straps are easily stored in the shoulder pad. I'm only 5' 7" so I have a lot of excess strap and storing the excess out of the way is a good feature. The slider works well when sliding down to gain extra length to the sling, but pulling it back up takes a bit of effort. That's about the only down side to this sling.

You're better off upgrading to a VTAC sling
I like this sling, but there's nothing special about it, and I think it's overpriced for what you're getting. I also have the VTAC upgraded wide padded sling, and I'm wishing I'd just bought another one of those. That sling has metal parts and feels much higher quality. In my opinion, it's worth the extra money, and this sling is not worth $35.

Not the right color description
