Making Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt

As being a scientist I love play in the kitchen after all it is gastronomic science

I wanted this to go with the ice cream maker that I had purchased as a gift. I was really disappointed when I received this "book." It reminded me of an instruction leaflet that you would receive with a product. I'm sure the recipes were probably fine, but it just was not what I was expecting.

This is really just a small pamphlet. I was expecting a book. It is only 30 pages. Only one page about making frozen yogurt. It gives you the basics on making ice cream and gives several recipes, but I just expected more. I guess the price reflects what you get.

The recipes are basic and things like frozen yogurt are extremely basic. Sorbets which I expected to find are really not there.

I gave this to my daughter for Christmas and she said it is one of the best books. She has already made several frozen desserts and they were all easy to make and they were really tasty.

Reminds me of childhood days making ice cream and liking the beater.

I was a little disappointed when it arrived as it is very small and not many pictures. It was quite confusing to follow and i didn't understand the measurements. I had to ask some friends what it meant and we still had to use google. If you know what you are doing it probably ok but if you are a first timer and need lots of help i would try something else.

i REALLY WANTED GUIDANCE ON FROZEN YOGHURT in particular and this book doesn't help much in that.I wanted to find a way to mimic the chocolate fudge brownie frozen yoghurt.
