The chapters are divided up into sections which easily outline what you need to know and clearly explain what each concept means. At the end of the chapter is a test to assess your knowledge, which you can use to make sure you've absorbed the information. I highly recommend this book for any student of medicine and health because it's full of good information, and it's simple to use. Also, it came on-time as I ordered in good condition. The only problem with the book is that the pages of the book itself feel a little cheap, like they printed the book on newsprint. This by no means diminishes its usefulness however. You defiantly get your money's worth with this one! Review: Great to review for HAPS test - I took anatomy and physiology I & II and aced them both, but that was 18 years ago! Now, wanting to go to nursing school, I needed to pass a HAPS test or retake those classes. I bought this book to study for it as I long ago got rid of my books and notes from the classes. I studied a little over 3 weeks cover to cover.I supplemented with some online practice questions from another site I found as the questions in the book and Cliffs notes online are not as good. Amazing how much a person can forget over 18 years, but I passed the test with room to spare! yay! The book covers everything on the HAPS test. I would suggest if you are using it to study for it, go to the HAPS website and see the percentage of questions on each area and study those sections accordingly, ie spend more time studying the central nervous system, cardiovascular etc. that have the most questions.

Helpful little pocket summarization of a VERY intense subject
This little book highlights many of the "important" parts of your average A&P I textbook (not sure about A&P II, I haven't taken it yet). I wouldn't use this as my ONLY supplemental study material for class, but it's a handy way of having some sort of study material with you at all times (small, can fit in some purses). I have found it helpful right before Exams, to just skim the chapters that are relevant to the test, as it reminds me of all the reading I did elsewhere. It brings info up to mind that I probably wouldn't have though of before a test (esp. since I, and I'm sure many others, get extremely stressed before big exams). I recommend this book to A&P students, and people who are interested in these subjects.

Perfect guide to review A&P
I used this book when I was studying for the HESI A2 exam. This book was a great alternative to re-reading the A&P textbook used at my university. I used this book in addition to my notes from A&P class. The great thing about this book is that each chapter covers a different system, allowing readers to jump to whatever system they need to review. Review questions are listed at the end of each chapter. The end of the book also has review questions. I plan to use this book if I need a quick review of A&P during nursing school. The book clarified some of the concepts I was struggling with. I wish I had purchased this book when I was taking A&P at my school.

Very detailed and helpful
I actually enjoyed this book as I coupled it with HESI A2 Secrets Study Guide. This books get into more detail while the other study guide just scratches the surface. Granted, the other book is meant to touch upon the main subject but this one is far more intricate. So anytime I wanted a deeper explanation, I'd refer to this book. The only thing I didn't like is that it's all in black and white. It had pictures but it would have been helpful if at least those pages were colored. Regardless, it's worth it.

A great study tool!
I bought this book because I am taking college level anatomy and physiology. This book made the complex human body so much simpler. The diagrams helped me wrap my head around complicated concepts. This small book significantly reduced my reading time and still contained all of the relevant information that I needed to know for class. It was certainly a handy tool that I used along with my textbook. I don't think I would have gotten an "A" without it. This review book worked wonders for me; I'd suggest giving it a shot, especially because it isn't very expensive.

Wish I Would've Bought This Sooner!
Finally! I am currently taking A&P 1. But I'm having a hard time in lecture understanding certain things such as the different processes (I guess you could say) about like, Cellular Respiration, Cross Bridge Cycle, etc. Seems informative but not too in depth. Easy to read and find information. I wish I would have had this at the beginning of the class. It also seems like it will be good for the lab portion of this A&P 1 course I'm taking. I'm about halfway through the semester right now so I'm hoping this book will help me out.

A perfect intro and review text
The perfect 'introduction' text to A&P. The book is small, condensed, concise and very clear. It isnt going to replace a 1000+ page text book, but then, it's not trying to. The book contains everything you need for a 'top-down' overview of a physiological system and is perfect for revision and review. I keep my copy on me (its a novel-sized paperback so it's portable!) and as such I use it more often than the huge 1000+ page A&P textbooks. In short, I would definitely recommend it as an 'intro' or 'review' to systems rather than an actual full scale A&P text. It's very clear and concise and densely packed with key concepts. Well worth the money as it's a highly usable book.

University revision guide
Not quite what I expected, as a university book probably brilliant. My mistake
