If you have a Reverse Osmosis (RO) drinking water system you should definately install one of these. The RO system is so good at removing impurities, it even removes all the minerals. While this might sound like perfect water, it is far from that. Without minerals in the water, when you drink that water, it will leach those minerals out from your bones. You see, water "wants" to be mineralized, which is why it leaches minerals out of the ground. This device will solve the problem. You will have drinking water with none of the nasties and all of the minerals, just like back when we were cavemen, and the cavewomen were dragging us into the caves by our hair for some R&R. I might have that part slightly wrong. So get you a RO system, install this hunk of loveliness, and you'll be ready to go T-Rex hunting!

If you look at most bottled water they add calcium carbonate for added flavor because the water would taste stripped. I purchased a warehouse deal to save a little money it was not used people don't understand also when they just buy the filter they just have little plugs in the end and they say it's not wrap well it doesn't need to be wrapped it's protected nobody used it before if they did water would come out of it. This lasts me about a year. Just one caveat the manufacturer answered in a question that made sense first thing in the morning let the filter run a little bit say about 45 seconds because water was sitting in the filter overnight which would cause it to be a little stronger with the minerals I also run the cold tap water at the same time so that water that was sitting in the pipe doesn't go into the RO system just to give it more life. Also a lot of people misconceive this doesn't really raise your pH if it is too low or too high it will balance it out. Also those pH meters are not really accurate I compared it to a alkaline water that was 8.8 and it showed higher about two points so I used my base from that. There is a lot of learn a lot about a RO system but this was my first one I bought from APEC on a warehouse deal I did upgrade it though to the 3/8 upgrade kit and it does come out a lot of faster at first for filling cups up or coffee pots saves me time. You do save money sometime on warehouse deal so keep an eye out I bought the yearly up graded filters in a kit that included the membrane and and a finishing filter for under the price of just those upgraded filter so I'm good for when I need to change the membrane. They are kind of expensive these mineral filters at full price but you can also go to the company's website at free drinking water dot com and maybe get a cheaper when they have sales. But it does taste a lot better than being just stripped water which I don't like but as I may have said look at a plastic bottled water and see the ingredients. Hope I've helped

I noticed a PH reading with the APEC filter system of 5.9 so I ordered and installed this filter kit.. The PH went up to 7.9. And the water taste was excellent. I change it when the PH gets below 7.5. I test the water quarterly with a PH tester available on Amazon.
