Purchased for my almost 6 year old granddaughter who asked for a sewing kit for Christmas. We made the first item that evening, she loved it. She learned to thread the needle, follow instructions, and completed the octopus which she was thrilled with! She had a hard time doing knots so grandma had to help there and made a couple fixable mistakes (going through wrong hole or side) which we were able to pull the thread back through easily and correct to get a good finished product. She enjoyed learning, was proud of herself, and it was a quality grandma experience. My nana taught me to sew, knit, crochet and needlepoint so it’s nice to find some starter kits on Amazon to teach my granddaughters. Our other 8 year old granddaughter was busy making a starter quilt/blanket we gave her with less help needed as I’ve been teaching her since last year with an initial knitting kit also found on Amazon. Treasuring the time with them and love seeing them excited to learn and feel good about creating. I have to admit I had low expectations as it looked pretty rudimentary but it was perfect for her, she loves animals and mermaids and the kit is well designed to learn basic sewing skills and build on those with each successive project included in the kit. I do recommend doing them in order with the instructions guide to accomplish the progression. She was thrilled with her octopus and excited to do the next project. It is wonderful for the price point that it’s not a one and done, she has several more to go. It exceeded my expectations for the price (Amazon deals).

This craft is fun way for kids to learn a good skill set to use for the rest of their lives. Quality is great and easy for kids to complete with minimal help from adults so it gives them a sense of independence. Great value for the cost, comes with everything needed to make 5 crafts! Size if of the crafts are also good size!

This was the perfect Christmas gift for the 5 year old little girl I was shopping for. She has loved it so much and had so much fun practicing sewing and making her purse and pillows. I can't recommend it enough! !

Easy to use. Some of the thread enclosed wasn’t enough to complete project, never the less it was thoroughly enjoyed.

This product is great for teaching kiddos the important skill of sewing. It comes with five project options. Might take a little guidance from adults, but the instructions are easy to read and follow. The felt stickers allow the kiddos to do part of the project all on their own. Was fun to see.

Fun xmas present. 6 and 4 yr loved doing it. Easy to use they just needed help with knots, the starting and ending.

Fun and easy to make projects. Great into to sewing. Pre-punched holes, stick on details and pre-cut fabrics are very helpful. My 7 year old granddaughter loved the fuzzy fabrics, and needed little help to successfully make things herself. The pillow turned into a birthday gift for her Dad. We're both very happy with this kit.
