Amazing so close to original!
I purchased this thinking that it’s gonna be kind of like the old mad cats, but this product is just as good as the original OEM Les Paul edition guitars that came with the original guitar hero game! This product here seem like it was almost remolded from the OEM version. Everything felt old-school retro the moment I placed the guitar in my hands. I felt when I was using this like I was getting something special, like some thing from back in the day that someone it’s stored in a container for 10 to 15 years and just handed it to me unused! I do recommend anyone looking for a Les Paul style guitar to buy this one as this one works on PlayStation three or PC whatever you’re playing on the color buttons feel so clean and pressure to push them feels like the OEM not cheap feeling and for the Strum Bar it felt super solid and very responsive! In the end strum felt super clean all the buttons felt crisp they didn’t feel spongy. Just a great product. It’s everything that you’re looking for. I hope this helps someone to Rock On Retro Style!

Great Guitar Controller Option In 2022
Set up was simple on Clone Hero on my Macbook. During my first song using the controller, I noticed the green fret wasn’t registering depending on how I hold the guitar. The connection for the neck and body is similar to the PS2 GH3 Kramer guitars, which also had a similar issue. The fix for that back in the day was to stuff a piece of paper between the back of the neck and the body, so I did that and it fixed the issue. During gameplay I noticed that the frets were heavier than I would prefer. There’s a modification going around on YouTube that shows you can cut into the silicone to make the frets lighter, however I’m refraining on trying this modification until after the return date. I’m not going to be harsh on this product because its one of the last affordable controller options we have in the community and I don’t this product to be discontinued. In conclusion, this has potential to be great for modifications for those not wanting to mod their discontinued guitar hero controllers. I might buy a couple more, depending on how this one holds up. I plan on doing performance modifications and customization on the faceplate.

Works well, but janky implementation. Doesn't pick up as a "controller" uses keyboard binds.
Controller worked great, the Whammy bar works and so tilting for Star Power. It's strange that the buttons on the controller are bound to keyboard keys, and this is why I wouldn't give it a 5 star. Green is "V", Red is "C", Yellow is "X", Blue is "Z" and Orange is "Left Shift". What ends up happening then, is pressing orange too many times will activate the "sticky keys" popup. Playing with the guitar will sometimes cause overlays to pop up because Orange was bound to shift which is a common key for overlay popups. Definitely think it would have been a lot better to bind the keys to asdfg. Also beware, the instructions mention that using a second guitar requires a change of settings, but this change makes it so that the strum bar is not supported in guitar hero. Really strange, so beware if you plan to buy 2 or use this controller for a second player. The controller says it has a separate mode for Rock band, and Guitar hero. I'm not sure why you would need two separate modes for that.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!
I bought this guitar back in June and have only had it for 3 months and the guitar disconnects constantly throughout songs. It worked well the first month I had it but it just started messing up recently. I already tried switching out the batteries multiple times but it does not fix the problem. I would recommend buying an authentic Guitar Hero guitar and just connecting it using an adapter!!

Works great with Clone Hero! Uses keyboard mapping and always uses Player 1!
First off, this controller utilizes a back door into the controller mapping by actually using keyboard inputs. This means that if you’re playing clone hero it can only be used in Player 1’s slot, meaning you couldn’t use two at the same time. Not an issue for most, but good to know if you already use a controller that is mapped to the keyboard. Overall great build quality; it feels heavy in a good way. The Bluetooth had very little latency in my experience and the Receiver is of good build quality as well. This led to pretty solid performance overall while playing. The buttons feel good and seem sturdy, as does the strum bar. It is a wireless controller so there is no cord length to deal with.

Terrible quality for the price
Does not power on consistently, I assume some internal part is loose and has a loose stock connection making the red and yellow buttons faulty. On top of that, the minus (-) button when mapped to star power will disconnect the guitar when I try to activate star power. Ill have to try some DIY tricks to hopefully make it work. Update: Use rubber bands to reinforce the stock connection. Havent had any faulty buttons since. Also, I opened the guitar up and checked the intenal connections. The wire leading from the battery compartment to the board needed to be fixed. Those two things pretty much solved the major issues with this thing. Minus button will still disconnect the guitar when pressed, but its maybe 1 out of 10 presses rather than almost every time. Finally the strap that came with the guitar broke and I used a large belt as a substitute. Stay away from this product unless you're willing to chance taking on a project. I thought of finding a wii controller and pc adapter as a next resort. At least the faceplate is removable so i can save my stickers.

Perfect for Clone Hero
Worked out of box. The only problem is that when the minus button is pressed at the same time as strumming up, the guitar disconnects. So, you shouldn't use this for star power. In addition, the tilt isn't as sensitive as I'd like The left hand buttons were still out of box and difficult to play, but now they're good
