These tools are wonderfully designed and made. They are high quality and perform as advertised. If you are concerned about the price, it is worth it. I believe "a poor man can't afford cheap tools." You'll buy this once and keep it for a long time.

It could be much better if they just cared enough. You get only one cover of each grit, the pump could be much easier to use and have a pressure release valve. Having to unscrew it between each change in grit is a drag. None of these things are huge but it certainly made my experience about average. When you have everything set up, it does do a pretty good job of sanding.i use it on the insides of bowls on the lathe. I'm the end I just thought it should be a little better for the cost.

This tool works well for unusual or odd shaped sanding projects. The only drawback is the inflation system for holding the sanding cap on. The 'inflator' is worthless. I ended up CAREFULY using my air compressor to get the cap to stay put. The flex shaft is good and the motor is quiet and smooth. Good Jacobs style chucks. A bit pricy, but it will last a long time.

While I really do like the sanding system and I can't imagine making my bowels without it, I do have two minor complaints. For one, the pump doesn't hold on to the shaft of the inflatable balls, and it seems like the gold compression nut is there for decoration, maybe I received a defective one. Second of all, I wish the sanding sleeves were a bit more durable and less expensive. With both of those things being minor annoyances, I still love this item.

the design was simple but was unable to get the ball to hold air. I tried some oil on the mating surfaces but it was not succesful. the air pump also needed to be oiled but was still difficult to use. I suspect a soft rubber or foam ball would work better at holding the sandpaper.

Great idea, but the sanding cups don't hold up very well (they tear apart easily) and if they get off centered on the "bulb" wobbles all over. The pump to inflate them is garbage. Buy lots of extra sanding pads you'll go through them quick.

These are great for sanding non-linear pieces of wood. The sand paper seems to last a long time. It is great to be able to adjust the pressure in the bladders to fit whatever object you are working on. However, the price for the tool is a bit excessive given the simplicity of the tool.
