Xtreme- The Automatic Pool Surface Cleaner - Clarifier Pool Skimmer - Suction Skimmer for Pools

The skimmer works great. I’ve owned both sizes. I prefer the bigger one for he size of leaves we get but both work if you’re only wooed about bugs. We had to adjust a valve at our pool pump for the skimmer and vacuum to both have enough suction. After a year the flexible hose does begin to fall apart but there is a replacement available on Amazon. I recommend this skimmer.

Should have purchased the SkimmerMotion only and not pay the extra for the Xtreme add on. The Xtreme basket is worthless. It does pick up some debris, but not enough to make it worth the price, and often times, some of the debris falls out when removing the gadget from the pool.

Just never got it to work well. Tried all sorts of things, including adjusting filter speed and different hose positions. It just never kept up with the debris. The company was great to deal with, I was really hoping this thing would be able to handle my pool.I ended up spending a lot more on a solar powered robotic skimmer, but that thing keeps my pool clean!

Here in southern Florida we have an annual problem during the summer with swarming ants. They swarm after a heavy rain and fall into the pool covering the surface. The pools' built in skimmer just can not handle the load. I have been searching for a solution for several years but could not find anything that I thought could help. I have even researched this product several times. I finally decided it might be worth a try and purchased it in early summer of 2025. To my surprise it is really working and has helped greatly in clearing the pool surface of these pesky little ants. My pool has a seperate vacuum port so it was a breeze to install. Once I adjusted the flow rate for proper suction I have not needed to readjust. Now just need to see how long it will last before needs replacement.

I had the Original Motion Skimmer and used it for the last few summers and it really kept my pool clean. This is basically a floating skimmer basket. I have several trees around my pool and the Original captured a lot of leaves. There is a rubber O ring that you have to replace periodically but they are cheap and easy to find at the hardware store. One of the diverters on the top of the skimmer came off but I glued it back on with marine glue and it worked fine. The skimmer was getting old so I though I would replace it and saw that there was a new "upgraded" version. I donated the old skimmer and ordered the more expensive version thinking it would work even better than old style. Regret!The new more expensive version barely sucks in small particles even when I was directing them into the basket. Forget about bigger leaves. Most annoying is when the pump shuts off everything that has accumulated inside the basket floats back out into the pool and you have grab the pool net and catch it before it spreads back out into the pool. Debris does not seem to be able to float over the edge of the small insert to get into the basket so the pool does not get cleaned on the surface.The Original skimmer by design held all the waste inside of it's spiral design and the smaller pieces went into the filter pot were you could clean it out and dispose of it.Very disappointed in the newer more expensive version and am going to put it up for backup. I wish I would have returned it. It is doing such a bad job I am ordering the old version which really made a big difference in keeping all the leaves and junk particles cleaned out of my pool.

This item does work however it is smaller than expected. Guess it would be practical for a smaller above ground pool not a larger in ground. Great idea just wish it was larger

Works great for the small debris (bugs and pollen) and micro debris too small for net. Works “okay” for larger debris though skimmer is arguably better. Keeps the surface looking clean and fresh by sucking stuff that the skimmer leaves behind.Phoenix, walking pool, 40’x14’x5’, poolvac xl, 2300 rpm pump.

These thing sucks, the hose connection is soft plastic and will eventually rip, and it’s extremely hard to remove the basket to get the big leaves out. I wish I could’ve of returned it when I had the chance but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thus lost my return window.

Habe lange suchen müssen bis ich für meinen Teich den perfekten Skimmer gefunden habe. Danke für so ein tolles Produkt. Ich habe nur den Ansaugstutzen auf einen Durchmesser von 3,2 cm auf gebohrt um einen Teichschlau anschließen zu können.
