Great and reliable fuel tank, easy to install.
If you’re looking for a fuel tank for your truck this is the perfect one. This is the second time I have purchased this as we sold our last truck with the fuel tank. It is reasonably priced & easy to install. You will need to purchase the RDS MFG INC 11408 a diesel installation kit as well.

That I got what I paid for, delivered in good condition
Product is great BUT the shipping is BAD. Box was destroyed, anchor tab on bottom of tank was bent, lid was scratched from staples, lid was bent and couldn't open without contacting factory for pictures to see inside box to release latches. Factory replied that Amazon was the worst for shipping.

Poor packaging.
like the box, but the shipping packaging leaves a lot to be desired. They need corner protection on the lid as mine came with corner damage enough that the lid would not close after initially opening. Lucky for me I'm used to tin knocking so fixed it myself but for the money a little more cardboard would help.

Might be aluminum but you'll swear it's solid gold!
Installed in my 2015 Ram 2500 short bed just perfect. Still have room for a fifth wheel setup. Life saver on long trips with the trailer. Costly up front but pays for itself over time and no more maneuvering around small gas stations with my trailer!

Check valve is a little difficult to install but works great.

Great diesel auxiliary tank! Fit my 2017 Ram 3500 Mega Cab great. Seems to be very good quality. Welds look solid. Tool box just the right size.

Lower cost and quality
I should mention a couple of things about the order. The tank dimensions as shown in the ad were exact, but the mounting brackets were smaller and in a different location than shown. Due tot he bracket location the tank has to mount differently than I had originally planned. The order was placed and it arrived on the west coast a day before estimated, but when it arrived it was packaged poorly and in a manner that would do little to protect the tank. As a result of either handling or shipping one corner and the lid were dented. I might be able to pound them out fairly straight, but I will probably risk doing additional damage. Construction quality of the tank seems good, but the lid is crooked and the latch system doesn't allow me to tighten it and have it still keep a tight seal. In all, I am happy with the good price, but I am disappointed with the design of the mounting system and the lid. On the plus side I also got the RDS Diesel Install kit that allows the tank to feed fuel directly into the filler neck on the truck. It was a fairly easy install and, although it is a slow feed, works great.
