When hitting off of a mat, the proper tee might seem like small potatoes, but tee height is critical in hitting the driver properly. I like to use the "zero friction" plastic tees with this item since those rarely break, and I position it so that the slot in the tee faces rearward, and slightly inside. So if you look at the tee from the top, the slot is approximately in the 4 o'clock position (for a RH golfer). This allows the regular tee to pop out of the ProActive tee and flip pretty much straight up in the air. That way you don't have to go chasing onto the range for your regular tee.

Its a great concept but overall your better off buying your own rubber mat inserts/ cutting them to desired lenght etc. and throwing them in your bag for when your at the range.... I found it more irratating replacing the tee's etc after every hit than the conveinance they are supposed to provide....

The height of this tee is too high, which defeats the whole purpose since you can't put your own tee in.

Good concept - holds a wood tee so you can practice more naturally than hitting off a fat rubber tee. Tees can break off inside the rubber shaft and you may have to pull rubber tee out of matte to remove the broken piece. Not so bad - usually broken piece comes out by bending the rubber shaft to expose the broken piece. All in all, a good product. Turn the slit in the tee so that it points away from you - if you turn the slit so it faces forward (in the direction of ball flight) or backwards away from the line of flight, wood tee can pop out. Suggestion below to turn the tee to 4 o'clock also has merit - will try that tomorrow.
