Combat Max, Ant Killing Gel, 27 Grams (2 Pack)

Second purchase of this product. Most effective if you have some idea where the little intruders are coming from but also works where you see them. Just a couple of dabs in the area along their trail and they will come to feast and be gone. You will see a swarm the first day or so and this can freak you out as you didn't know there were that many but this contributes to the effectiveness because it is so attractive to the ants. In our case you see a lot of activity the first day, minimal activity the second day and no activity the third day. Works much more effectively in my opinion than the popular ant traps. My cat is not attracted to it and I usually put the products in corners or along baseboards. Very effective.

We live in an older neighborhood that has a mature ecosystem. That means we have an abundance of good and bad bugs including multiple types of ants. Fire ants, household ants, and big black ants. Our ants aren’t affected by the bait traps and super sticky tape. We don’t like to use foggers because we have cats and I’m worried about what chemicals are left behind. After many months of trying to kill the ants we were desperate to try something else. This product saved our sanity. We traced back to where the ants were coming in and applied this in and around the spot. The ants are very attracted to this product and it only took about 5 minutes before they stopped coming in. Since we have cats we have to place this product in areas where they can’t get to. Product is a gel that doesn’t drip and stays put. Just watch out for the stray gel that might fall on something so you don’t contaminate it with chemicals. We’ve applied this product to inside walls of stove, under counters, behind counters, around hinges of doors, and sides of cabinets. Now we only need to apply when we have a soaking rain when the ants are seeking shelter.

We have had problems with the ubiquitous Argentinian brown ant at our Southern California home. Nothing worked - sprays kill what you spray, and can slow down the ant's return to an area, but the ants come back worse than before. Pest control definitely made the ants worse! The bait needs to be applied consistently and patiently. You can use it indoors if you want, but I found it is most effective if you find the actual nest outside and place drops around the nest and in the ant line. Do not spray - just bait! You will see the ants start to gather around the bait in a little while. The next day there will be very few if any ants around that nest - if there are, re-apply! If you are patient and place the bait near every ants nest opening in the yard, you will be rid of them. Of course, the ants will move back in from the neighbors yards, so you need to keep the bait around. When you see an ant line, bait it! Don't wait - it just takes a couple minutes to but drops along the line, and if you find it also around the nest. It really works!!

Ants will disappear since day 3. I did not use much I squeezed here and there about Qtip size gel and I did it again on the second day. I did not see any ant since the third day. It is a little bit expensive but I rather pay for this gel than suffering ants😰

I’m not even sure if this product works or not but it’s truly impossible to evenly apply a line to a crease. You keep pressing the syringe down and it’ll just randomly explode product out into a giant pile that needs wiped up anyway. Not sure if i received a faulty bottle but it sucks to apply. Probably won’t use it because it’s wasting half the product. Edit: Okay so I still hate the way that the product is dispensed. Lots of air and no way to get an even application. BUT the ants are gone!!! I was trying terro for months and it just wasn’t working (and always spilling). I applied this once and had a massive amount of ants show up but they haven’t come back!!

I just moved into a new home that have a lot ants infested it does not work for large quantity of ants but it does work for small quantity of ants

This stuff is incredibly good. Just mix it, as one reviewer suggested, as follows: 1 part ant killer, 1 part milk and 1 part sugar. Then dab with a Q-tip or toothpick some small amounts on small pieces of plastic (i.e., an old milk carton or credit card) into about 1" squares. We put about 4 or 5 of these small pieces around our kitchen and they attracted in less than a few hours large black ants that we had not been able to eliminate with other products. They apparently took this back to their nests -- after only one day, all the ants disappeared and have not reappeared for several months. This stuff works -- and all you need is a very small amount.

I live in an older travel trailer that has seen better days. I was being invaded by sugar ants with all the cracks in my trailer, so I needed something that would be easy to use. This product is super easy to use, and I can put it right where the ants are getting in. I love the fact that I can put it on any surface and it stays right where I apply it. After I put very small amounts where the ants were getting in they went straight for it. Within 1-2 days they stopped coming in all together! That really amazed me! Of course use precautions when using and be responsible. I make sure that my cats can’t get to where I put this poison, because that’s what it’s for, to poison the ants only! So when used correctly you can keep it out of reach of children and pets. So I do recommend this product!
