great surge protector for your stuff
This is my second purchase, the older one I'm not sure if it wore down or if it was even the faulty part which caused things plugged into it to trip but I bought another one just because I felt it was old and needed replaced anyways. I never had issues with these they work great, the pivoting plug is a great design and the rest of it is quality too including the cord and length of the cord. It's just damn near a perfect product.

Savior of Electronics and Projects
This is 5 stars, it has protected my plugged in stuff already! Idk if its this, but when the power goes out, I still have some time to turn everything off, I don't have a separate power source yet my stuff still stays on even when there's rolling blackouts!! On top of that , it has the versatility of moving the connections however you want so everything can be plugged in. It's definitely good quality and well built and has a small profile. I feel like this review sounds like I'm boosting it a bit haha but I really am not, I was surprised by this. I'd recommend it !

This Power Strip is Amazing
So I was looking for a power strip and I needed something with plenty of outlets, good cord length and overall good quality toughness. I decided on this power strip and I have owned it for quite some time. The outlets on this power strip can swivel to allow for larger plugs, different shaped plugs and for ease of access/detachment for any plug of almost any shape. This has helped me fit plugs to these outlets in an organized manner without have to keep the corners or "big areas" on most power strips for oddly shaped plugs. It works great attached to the bottom of my desk and isn't too bulky, just a little chubby but honestly it is fine. It powers my devices and my pc just fine. If I need another one of these, I am definitely buying another one as this thing is outstanding overall.

This is our second one and we really like it.
This is my second purchase of the same Belkin 12 Outlet Pivot Plug Surge Protector. I bought my first one a year ago and used it heavily. It was on the floor in a bad spot where people and pets had to step over it so I wasn't surprised when someone stepped on it for the 100th time a few days ago and it just stopped working. That is not the fault of Belkin. I just didn't care for the protector the way I should have. Having said that, my husband I looked at a number of surge protectors for out TV, DVR, VCR, and many smaller electronics and this one fits our needs. It never failed on us for the year we used it, filling every outlet with different devices. We have had many sudden power outages and all sorts of crazy stuff happen but this surge protector appeared to protect our devices.Everything always worked after the surges. I like that the outlets on the outside swivel. It really helps to fit different sizes in there and also for convenience. I am able to fit big block plugs and standard two and three prong lugs side by side. The unit has good weight to it and also has telephone jacks which we don't use but are useful for those who do. I don't know about the lifetime warranty. I didn't contact Belkin because the failure of our last unit was our fault and there was no damage to any of our electronics. The price has jumped $10.00 since last year but I still think this surge protector is a good buy and I have already hooked everything up to the new one and all is running smoothly. If I had any issues with my last one, I would never have gotten the same exact one again. My husband and I both felt this one worked well for our needs and we're pleased to have the new one up and running. We did change where it sits to better protect it from people tripping over it or stepping on it and that should prolong its life. It if it had a 10 foot cord, that would be awesome but eight feet is generally plenty for most households. Some have complained about this unit but we're very happy with it.

Clamping Voltage and Space between Swiveling Receptacles
First, you have to keep in mind that, even though I rate this four stars instead of five, it is the best consumer product of its type on the market. The most important standardized metric for protection of electronic equipment is the clamping voltage. Peak let-through voltage is very important and related, but I have not found a standard by UL or IEEE for that metric. The clamping voltage of this item is 400 Volts. Ideally, you would like to have a surge suppressor with a clamping voltage of 330 Volts; but after looking pretty exhaustively for several months, I have been unable to find ANY surge suppressor for consumers rated for 330 Volts. I mean ANY...!!!! You will look at the package and say, "Where is the clamping voltage SHOWN?" Well, it AIN'T shown anywhere on the package or the Amazon listing! I could not find ANY manufacturer that listed the clamping voltage on its packaging or advertisements. "Why is that," you say. Well, there is some type of collusion within and by the manufacturers to not let you know what the clamping voltage is. Why? I'm not sure. Certainly, 998 people out of 1,000 don't know what it is, and wouldn't care if they DID know. People (and yes, I'm included) are just generally not very bright. You can probably find surge suppressors rated with a 330 Volt clamping voltage once you start getting into the hundreds of dollars for a surge suppressor, but how many of us can afford that? Especially because, if you buy a voltage suppressor that actually works, you will have to buy a new one every two or three years, because the little voltage spikes you get due to relatively normal power outages and lightning events cumulatively degrade the protection you get from a suppressor. And if you have a suppressor that actually PROTECTS your equipment, once it reaches the total capacity of the suppressor to protect, it opens the electrical circuit so that your equipment won't be damaged by a strike/spike. I.e., your equipment won't have power until you replace a real suppressor. If you have a "suppressor" connected and working for more than four years, I promise you it is not actually protecting your equipment. It is allowing the current/voltage through to your device with NO SURGE PROTECTION AT ALL. Yes, it's pretty well planned to hoodwink 99.9% or so of the population. If you know an electrical/electronics engineer, ask 'em. Again, you have no real alternative. There use to be a Rosewill surge protector listed on Amazon that is virtually identical to the Belkin, but I see now there is a message saying "We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." If anyone does find a surge suppressor with a clamping voltage of 330 volts, I hope you will leave a note replying to this review, if you can. I won't check it often, but I probably will the next time my surge protector dies from the cumulative spikes I described above. Another reason I only gave this product four stars has to do with the rotating receptacles. I find that the spacing is too narrow to allow me to actually plug a hard drive adapter into adjacent receptacles. The adapter/plug is too wide. So I can only plug in a maximum of six devices that have the adapters (which are larger than standard plugs). As a matter of fact, I can't even plug in another STANDARD plug adjacent to an adapter, because the adapter body actually is so wide that it won't allow most standard plugs to fit next to it. Belkin needs to put another 1/4 inch or so between the rotating receptacles to make all of the receptacles usable. I just shake my head that some manufacturer can't make at least THIS feature usable. You would think a competitor would take the opportunity to make a buck by manufacturing one that actually does what this product is advertised to do.

My favorite power strip!
I’ve been using this product for years now and it’s been a solid part of my AV setup, hosting my gaming consoles and a bunch of other devices. It has 12 outlets total which is a lot and the rotating (pivot) outlets are my favorite feature making it much easier to fit awkwardly shaped plugs without fighting for space like you do with a traditional power strip. I’ve never had any issues with power surges, which tells me the surge protection is doing its job effectively, and that’s given me good peace of mind over time. Belkin is a brand I trust, and considering how long this has lasted and how often it gets used (all day every day), it’s more than paid for itself. I highly recommend if you want something reliable that can power a bunch of devices.

Many Sockets, Good Power, convenient Switch
Have not had to check for a surge, but there’s no grounding in the wall socket it’s plugged into and my portable heater has run nonstop for hours without any issues. This has many sockets and they pivot to allow fitting in plugs together of different types or shapes or that just need to point a different way to not kink the cords. It is a heavy, bulky unit. Check the measurements and ensure intended space will fit it in a stable manner (if not going on a floor). The strip’s power button is convenient and easy to flip on/off. The indicator light is big and bright. Which is good to see functioning from a distance. (Could disrupt if you need darkness in same room)

A good quality power strip at a good price.
Finding a good quality power strip that can keep your valuable electronics safe can be hard. I landed on this product based on reviews. I've been very happy with it, and I'll be buying more of them as I replace older brands I have. For most people I think the stand out feature is the ability to rotate the outside sockets to fit more sizes of bricks or plugs. And though you can in most cases find a way to fill every socket on this power strip, It doesn't look pretty. The power strip will likely no longer lay flat due to what you may plug in sideways. and you'll have a harder time dealing with cable management. However, You more than likely can fill every socket! For more, what drew me to this strip over other was the over current protection, and how high it was. Our devices like TV's, gaming consoles, and receivers cost thousands! And in one storm you could lose them all without good protection. So I would tell anyone never to cheap out on that protection. Despite this power strips great affordable price, I don't think they skimped on quality. Now I obviously didn't tear this unit down and look at it's hardware on the inside, But based off it's specs, I feel like if a power surge would happen I'd have a better chance with this over others. At the end of the day, these come from an assembly line, and some may fail so take my review as you will. I do like the unit shows you via a light that you're "protected". And the cord for the unit is long enough to reach behind most couches or entertainment centers, likewise a tv stand. For me, I'll be buying more of them as I already mentioned. And can easily recommend this power strip for most people.

Scam.
Worst product ever. The quality is degraded. Item seems to be used. Wire cut and scratched. The worst experience of my life with the Amazon. All due to this product.

Buen producto
Excelente producto. Llevo años usándolo con varios equipos conectados y ha aguantado muchos apagones. El manual original dice que la luz roja de “grounded” indica que hay conexión a tierra estable y en mi experiencia lo he comprobado.
